I posted this analysis for Mahindra last month, but I never thought they would get so close to the number 2 spot this quickly in monthly sales. Over 50,000 units sold, with most cars from the C and D segments. Unprecedented and mind-boggling!

The only actual competitor of Skoda Kylaq is 3XO GDI 1.2 in this segment. From day one itself, Kylaq holds a big edge over other cars under 4m segment because of its precise build inside out, feel good factor, dynamically proven MQB A0 IN platform and God Level combo of 1.0 TSI and Torque Converter Automatic which pulls like mad from 40 to 140 in no time! It is a car that once you will buy it, you will feel superior over the years whenever you will drive something else in this segment. Easy peasy!

Opinion - VW Virtus - 50,000 Sales 50,000 sedan sales is no small feat in the C2 segment, where cars like the Creta, Grand Vitara, and Scorpio-N dominate, especially considering that the sedan craze had already faded. I see this as the combined success of the Virtus and Slavia, consistently achieving around 3,300 units per month and beating established competitors convincingly. This also indicates that if these brands expand their portfolios to cater to multiple segments and customers, particularly under ₹12 lakh and a 6-7 seater in the ₹25 lakh range, they could surprise many. VW has a strong fan base, especially among the youth, which will work in their favor, but a wider product lineup is essential for achieving greater success.
