The in-progress SquirrelJME emulator will incorporate this audio implementation. Later audio engines like MA-5 and Fuetrek still require research, but this is a big step in the right direction! (2/2) Watch GuyPerfect's full gameplay here:

I've preserved Katamari Damacy Mobile, a preloaded game on the P904i. It comes with one stage, but it's impressive to see an i-mode port of a PS2 game! memoryhunter. figured out that it could only run on the DoJa 5.0 SDK due to its OpenGL implementation.

After the DKYG video last week, a few people have asked me if Seiken Densetsu's i-mode remake has been preserved yet. The answer is yes! It was preserved back in July. For those curious, the i-mode remake is faithful to the original Game Boy game, with updated graphics/music.

The reason I got into game collecting was the Neo Geo MVS arcade system. Around 2005, I came across an arcade game community where modders gathered—people who converted arcade games so they could be played at home on consoles. While being active in that community for a long time, I started collecting MVS games one by one. Eventually, that expanded into collecting console systems, PC games, and later even full arcade cabinets. I also began collecting Neo Geo AES from that time. Although I collect many kinds of games, the Neo Geo series is especially meaningful to me.

I managed to sideload the The Rockman EXE Zone's English patch of Rockman.EXE Legend of Network on my P-01F! This game looks incredible on original hardware. The moving backgrounds were exclusive to the KDDI version of the game, so this is the first time they're on a DoCoMo copy!

Thanks to user Xyz, sideloading is possible on the P-01F! One of the last i-mode phones, it can run most i-appli... including Rockman.EXE Phantom of Network! Other games still need work, but this is a huge accomplishment for sideloading on a DoCoMo phone!

Excited To Watch Today's Wager at 10. Wanted To Say Whatever beef Going On Aside, It was so cool to be able to sub into a playoff game against some the best players and some of the people I look up to and watch day to day. I learned a lot just in those 2 games, and I take away things I now know I need to improve on. Every game coming down to a 1 score game, 2 to 3 points. Playing at this level, your weaknesses will show, and I love that. I can't wait to be better and hopefully get the chance to do it again in the near future. Put on a show tonight!

There are definitely gamers out there who enjoy arcade games on original PCBs like I do, rather than through emulators. But authentic arcade boards are hard to find and also tend to break down over time. Seeing this demand, some incredibly talented people started creating multi-game boards. This isn’t simple emulation. Instead, it works by replacing only the ROM data on the original hardware itself, which means it keeps the same advantages as the authentic board. It may sound simple at first, but every PCB has different structures and compatibility issues, making it extremely difficult to pull off. I honestly think these are closer to works of art than just hardware projects. Of course, you can simply run MAME and enjoy almost every arcade game easily without spending much money. But people like us, arcade nerds, somehow get a strange sense of satisfaction from enjoying things in a way that’s more expensive and less convenient 🤣
