MajorHighTide They spent it on upgrading their communications equipment, which was not what the $ was allocated for AND they still ended up pocketing millions of it by giving 10% bonuses to all sheriffs and overbidding on the contract for the upgrades. Just flat-out corruption/irresponsibility

Kerr County officials were given over $10 million in federal funds by the Biden administration for them to MAKE CRITICAL UPGRADES TO ITS FLOOD WARNING SYSTEMS, and yet they only reluctantly accepted it to prevent it from going to a blue state, then spent it on law enforcement.

I'd like to see where the sheriff department spent the money....

@BeauChandler12 The sheriff's department has 124 employees; 59 of whom are sworn deputies. That's a lot of money for a small department like that.
