Make no mistake about who is REALLY behind this "nuclear" push. Same bludgers, new tricks. Will we take the bait? 🤔 #australia

Start by lifting the nuclear energy prohibition, then abolish taxpayer subsidies for all other forms of energy, and see what happens.

🇺🇸 One Nation, under Trump, Stronger THAN EVER. Are you Trump Tough? 💪Tough T's Here:

I get the argument about how long it takes to build and how expensive it is to build...but please do a comparison with renewables and how much costs are blowing out there, with several failed offshore wind farms, manufactures going bust, the short lifespan of solar and wind materials. Then go into the horrible govt push for hydrogen projects for an energy source the rest of the would says isn't efficient enough to move forward with. When you have many countries and very large companies looking to move towards nuclear power because they understand the long term success of them. It's only leftist governments that still insist of net zero and 100% renewable push, when we have electricity prices through the roof and gov't that can't keep the power on.

If you were so confident in your anti nuclear stance, why not just make it legal and let the market decide?

Getting nuclear in Australia is actually a good move. The real issue isnt just lobbyists persuading/benefiting policy makers to string it out but the slow build times in Australia. Its going to take us a long time to build anything, let alone establishing a nuclear supply chain while building the first nuclear plant(s) under extreme red tape. If its a slow burn its a slow burn… to break the mould IMO we should order in pre-built modular micro-reactors… a shit-tonne of them, which reduces delivery risk. Australia is so far behind on nuclear we cant even legally build reactors in this country its that bad..

The AP 1000 can be built in 5 years if your country is not retarded. It is clean energy and doesn't destroy the land like solar and wind. You have missed the mark here mate.

There’s also LFTR reactors using Thorium and spent traditional fuels. We ask the car industry to develop more efficient cars (years in development) but not power?

If we never start we never finish.

Australia could and should be owning and operating the entire nuclear life-cycle. Dig up, refine & enrich the uranium. Import, then eventually develop and export the technology to utilise it. Safely deal with the waste here in our stable geographic environment.

try speaking with @ShackelWill you might learn something

Koreans and Japanese can build cheaper, much faster, in 5-7 years. Setting the UK as the benchmark which is an outlier itself doesn’t cut it here. Sure there’s going to be a plethora of typically Australian red tape, but that’s all bureaucratic bs, which we can and should get rid of.
