Making the General Category students suffer for the sins they did not commit is not correcting injustice but rather perpetuating it. Injustice in the campus today will be a threat to justice in the country tomorrow. My views on the unjust UGC Equity Regulations:

What is the use of arbitral, inquiry etc when the process is itself a punishment? How will the demoralised victim get his focus back on studies? Success has gone over the head of NDA government.

When a student walks into a campus, they come with books, hopes, and a future; not with historical guilt stamped on their forehead. Making them pay for mistakes they never made doesn’t heal society, it only breeds quiet anger. If unfairness is taught as policy in our universities, it will graduate into something far uglier in public life. Justice cannot be built by creating new wrongs in the name of old ones.

Let's apply this logic universally then. Muslims ruled for 1000 years. Christians for 250. The "untold miseries" inflicted are historical fact. If we're punishing current generations for the sins of the past, surely we start penalizing them too? It's only fair, right?

Instead of promoting equity, these regulations will only breed greater animosity and distrust among students. Spaces meant for inclusive learning will turn into battlegrounds for caste fanaticism. The UGC regulations are unjust and must be revised entirely.
