The tense situation remains evident today in Aceh Tamiang. A foul odor emanates from a car parked along the road. The car has not been recovered, and it is suspected that a body is still inside. Floods have been ravaging Aceh, Sumatra, for almost a week (November 27, 2025). According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) as of Sunday (December 7) at 4:13 PM WIB, the number of flood and landslide victims in three Sumatran provinces—Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra—continues to rise. Currently, a total of 940 people have died as a result of the ecological disaster that occurred in the three provinces on Sumatra Island.
