Blankets, blankets, blankets! Thanks to your incredible support, the Sameer Project bought 1,000 blankets last week for around $36,365 with 11% commission (for our fiscal hosts). Children can be introduced to a ball as soon as they begin to walk, not with the intention of developing footballers right away, but simply as a way to bond, play, and enjoy time together. In many Latin cultures, this is quite common. A parent, often a father, will naturally use a ball as a tool for connection and play. As a result, children develop comfort and familiarity with the ball from a very early age, giving them a natural head start in coordination and ball manipulation. This is what’s possible for a three year-old, if a parent has some knowledge on what to encourage.

He gently called her into the house, allowed her to bring the blanket with her, and comforted her by saying, “It’s safe now.” He gave her water, taught her to sit and shake hands. NEW: The 16-year-old stepbrother of Anna Kepner, who was found stuffed under a bed on a Carnival cruise ship, is a suspect in her death, according to the Daily Mail. The body of Kepner, 18, was found wrapped in a blanket and stuffed under a bed in her cabin on Nov 7. The ship was in international waters between Mexico and Florida during the time of the incident. On November 6, Kepner complained on the cruise that she didn't feel well and went to her cabin after dinner. The following day, when her dad and stepmother gathered the family for breakfast, they noticed she was missing. Kepner was found around 11 am by a maid, stuffed under a bed in a blanket and covered with life jackets. According to new court filings, Kepner's 16-year-old stepbrother is facing possible criminal charges. "It is true that there is an open investigation regarding the death of the biological daughter of the stepfather, and [boy's initials] is a suspect regarding this death, which occurred recently on a cruise ship," a filing from Kepner's stepmother, Shauntel Hudson, said.

Rosaria Butterfield and Christopher Yuan look at the Christian sexual ethic and how it compares and contrasts with the way the world understands sexual identity. Rosaria: “Christians need to know what TIME it is.” Rosaria: “The first is to think that there is such a thing as a gay person, or a lesbian person, to actually think that your personhood or your image-bearing is attached. There is no such thing as a person made in the image of God as a lesbian, or a gay man, or a transgender. You are made in the image of God as a man or made in the image of God as a woman.” Christopher Yuan: “We need to make sure that our indwelling sin is something that we are mortifying, putting to death, that we aren't then coddling it and saying, "Well, it's, it's really neutral." And we can then identify, "I'm not a gay Christian." I am, when none of you should identify as a prideful Christian or a lustful Christian or whatever it is. That's my dead man, and no one is ever going to resuscitate him.”

Yesterday I pulled a sleeping bag & blanket out of the mud. Two other sleeping bags are still stuck in the mud in just a 20 yard area. This location was home to a large encampment along Pittsburgh's Ohio River removed last fall and the damage to our rivers is often significant.
