@g__j Completely agree, there should be many more experts on #BBCQT who can explain things in simple terms. It gets very stale seeing the same politicians and hack journalists spouting lies or talking about issues they don't fully understand.

@g__j Until they blow up. Or need to be disposed of. Don’t forget the cobalt is sometimes being mined in unregulated mines by 12 year old boys. I’ll keep my petrol car thank you

@g__j No mention of battery depletion. The battery will last between 70,000 and 100,000 miles before it is running at 70%

@g__j You cannot underestimate the damage @JeremyClarkson did on Top Gear telling people batteries will be in landfill in 3 years! 99% will outlast the car (mine is 10yr old and still over 80%) and then 90+% is recycled / re-used.

@g__j Electric vehicle batteries last up to 600,000 miles…. Best tell that to all the electric car owners who’s car batteries are goosed at a lot less than that,..

@g__j How long before people wake up to the fact that EV batteries are >98% recyclable and will outlast the vehicle they are fitted to? It's crazy listening to the ignorance, week in, week out.

@g__j EV batteries are a long term asset just like a mobile phone is a long term asset.

@g__j He’s a snake oil salesman.

@g__j I thought Greg Jackson @g__j was knowledgeable & convincing. Dispelled the nonsense & misunderstandings of others. It’s unusual for #bbcqt to showcase informed voices to do just that. I’ll watch again with my older grandchildren, give him a follow & swap to Octopus. I feel hope.

@g__j He doesn't tell the truth. The full cost of electricity is much less with hydrocarbons. The levelised cost of electricity promoted by INRENA & GB energy inivolves contorted conceptual and arithmetrical gymnastics. We need 7 nuclear power stations to transfer our transport to EVs.
