People that randomly film others in public are the weirdest kind of people.

Yeah, very juvenile. Just three fully grown adults filming people in public.

The 1A auditors are definitely annoying sometimes but if I walked into one of their frames I'd just be like "ok I'm leaving because I don't want to be on film". It seems to send some people off a ledge though lol they can't just walk away

The best thing to do is just keep walking. There is nothing you can do, and it will save you from being filmed and uploaded online.

The cure is to take out your phone and play copywrited music. Then they can't post and will give up.

"What if I just took you down? What would that be like? What’s so tempting is I could literally take the three of them down." Legendary quote right there.

Assault with a liquid? Petty, but not criminal in any meaningful way, cops correctly read the room and de-escalated. The real villain here is the algorithm that turned “make strangers uncomfortable on camera” into a viable career path....

If we're filming a movie in public, we have to get waivers from people who appear, even if its for a few seconds in the background. If these people filming are posting this on a monetized YouTube or other channel, without permission, why is this not against the law?

Actually they are NOT in public, that is a privately owned parking lot. It is private property. The problem is laws not caught up with this type harassment. Should get arrested for filming on private property without owner's consent.

When you’re in public then you can be filmed. At least in America.

Can only hope that somebody takes actions into their own hands on these idiots. Sure it's legal, but if somebody asks you to stop, why wouldn't you? Because you're an entitled POS that wants to make money for nothing on social media off of annoying the general public

People really hate the 1st amendment. There are cameras everywhere in the store and in the parking lot — on the cars in the parking lot. There is nonstop recording everywhere we go. You don't end up on the internet if you're not an idiot. It's that simple.

I can’t stand these idiots who do this! One day someone’s gonna do something besides calling the police and on that day I’ll cheer

If you don’t want to be filmed, it’s a pretty stupid idea to walk up to the camera then, isn’t it? They’re stress testing the 1st Amendment, I like these guys and what they do. You don’t like it? Walk away from the camera, dummy.

We need to have a fundamental shift in how we view the public sphere. Harassment isn't a Constitutionally protected right.

Vigilantism is coming. So long as our laws allow people to harrass others to "provoke" a response, this will escalate eventually to extreme violence.

The karenchaos masked creepy men with cameras are assholes, standing around shopping centers recording people just to get a reaction out of them. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean they aren’t assholes. The amount of people defending them on TikTok is insane to me.

Sure it's allowed to film others in public, but that should be illegal if you are masked up like they are. What if they were filming someone as their next robbery target, or worse.

Bro this whole scene is the perfect 2025 clown-world cocktail, you’ve got three dopamine-deficient TikTok goblins wandering around filming strangers like they’re making Planet of the NPCs, and then some dude snaps, dumps a Pinot Noir baptism on them, and suddenly everyone’s shocked the cops didn’t show up with a SWAT team. Newsflash, champ, in public you can film anything except your dignity, and these clowns weren’t breaking laws, just breaking everyone’s patience. And the guy talking about “I could take all three of them down,” like he’s cutting a WWE promo in aisle six, was hilarious because you KNOW that’s exactly what those camera-trolls wanted. That’s their whole business model, provoke, record, upload, profit. The cops basically said the quiet part out loud, “They WANT you mad.” Moral of the story, don’t feed the gremlins, don’t give free wine showers to content vultures, and remember, the internet doesn’t need more weirdos performing in public, it needs fewer of them.

Those guys filming are agitators and they do it on purpose to get reaction. They are allowed to film….the agitators got what they wanted. The guy threatened them on film. You have to ignore their stupidity and they will go away.

I don't have a problem with people being filmed in public even though I many not like if someone was filming me. However, I have a huge problem with random people wearing masks and filming people.

This group of friends were celebrating a birthday, they had brought heir own cake in which was purchased at a high end bakery in the area. The server said they could use that cake instead of theirs but it would be a $400 cutting fee so they cut it themselves outside, I would do the same, that price is outrageous. There was a time in Hudson, Ohio where we went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was upscale but wasn’t like a 4 star place or anything. When I booked the reservation for 4 people we told them it was for a birthday. I asked them specifically if I was allowed to bring our own cake, our friend has food allergies and I had to get his cake at a specialty place that made a gluten free cake. They said it shouldn’t be an issue. They checked with the manager and the manager said it was ok. After having our dinner we were ready to do the cake. So I went to the car to get it so I could surprise him. At the door I was stopped by the hostess who told me it was against the rules to bring outside food in. I mentioned that I was told by a manager that it would be ok. They asked when I called and I said it was two days ago when they opened at 11am. She said well that was the day shift manager and he wasn’t there. She said we couldn’t bring in outside cake or food but they were happy to sell me one for $100. I said pass and I ended up just giving him the cake outside in the box as a gift so he could enjoy it at home.

🚨ICE agents were filmed assaulting a group of U.S. citizens for no reason, in California. In the video, ICE agents walked up to a group of U.S. citizens while they were filming, on public property, and then started shoving them. Then, they escalated even further, pointing pepper spray at multiple people who were doing nothing but recording, before casually walking back to their cars and leaving. No additional arrests, no threat identified, no justification given… just force. So, let’s call this what it is… A violation of the First Amendment. You have a protected right to film law enforcement in public… These people weren’t interfering with anything… ICE agents approached them and retaliated against them for exercising that right. That’s unconstitutional. And then there’s the Fourth Amendment… Law enforcement cannot use force without justification. They cannot walk up to civilians, put hands on them, and escalate to threats of chemical force because they feel like it. Shoving people who pose no threat and pointing pepper spray at people who are standing is excessive force… and it’s an unlawful seizure, even if it only lasts seconds. And the pattern here is what everyone should pay attention to. They finish an arrest…then turn to the bystanders. They don’t de-escalate, they expand the confrontation. They don’t leave, they intimidate. Because if federal agents can walk up to you on a sidewalk and assault you for exercising your first amendment rights… then your rights don’t exist.
