President William Samoei Ruto, PhD has concluded his six-day development tour of the western region. 1. The President began his working tour in Mumias, Kakamega County, by presiding over the issuance of Ksh 150 million in bonuses to Mumias Sugar Company farmers. 2. He also inspected the Busia County Aggregation and Industrial Park. 8. He commissioned the Kijavi Village Electrification Project in Busia, which will connect over 20,000 households in the county. 9. The President presided over the groundbreaking of the Alupe Dam Water Supply Project, which aims to provide clean water to up to 100,000 people. 10. In Misikhu, Bungoma County, he launched the Last Mile Connectivity Programme to connect more than 28,000 households to electricity. 11. In Bumala, Busia County, the President launched the Bumala Modern Market, one of the 11 modern markets to be constructed in the county. 12. He laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Bungoma Modern Market.
