Basically perfect. I love the scenes in Woody's apt, the B&W just makes it look even better. And the beginning with Gershwin and NYC skyline, so good

Woody-Willis collaboration was incredible, and this is particularly spectacular. Stardust gives it a run for its money in photography, but this has to be one of the most perfectly lensed films of all time.

Excellent movie.

I love the cinematography of Woody Allen's MANHATTAN--as DOP of a movie, Gordon Willis had no competition when it came to lighting and composition--and the "darker" or more silhoutted, as those who know his work certainly and famously know, the better... I can watch that movie in "silence" just to absorb and enjoy the images.
