Sec. 166 of the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act gives Cabinet the authority to eliminate the carbon tax through an Order in Council. Trump is now talking about suspending the national gas tax. GREAT. But if you want to see an even bigger change at the pump, tell your STATE to suspend its gas tax too. The national gas tax is about 18 cents a gallon. State taxes DOUBLE that. Or, in states like Washington and California, it's another 55 and 90 cents per gallon respectively. No wonder gas is so expensive there! Let's suspend ALL gas taxes.

I asked the premier how he can justify paying his best friend Richard Madan (who has no trade experience) more than the Prime Minister while Manitobans can barely afford groceries. It’s literally passed as a law, called “Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act” ✅ You can go to jail for a failure to file a return, or comply with demand order ✅ Last I checked, NO LAW has been passed to repeal the Carbon Tax So how can they “kill” a law with no Parliament? ✅ No one voted to repeal it So what precedent does this set when the government can decide to not enforce, or in this case, break their own laws when it’s unpopular and affects their ability to get reelected? This has nothing to do with Canada‘s best interest, if it did, they would’ve ended it years ago but instead they sold it to us as “we get more money back”. This is purely for their own selfish reasons to stay in power. It’s disgusting

He didn’t renew the Coalitions Low and Middle Income Tax offset rebate worth up to $1,500 a year in Labor’s first budget and now he’s returning only half of it to low income earners. None of these tax cuts make up for the average increase in household expenditure of $8,800 due to Labor’s inflation and immigration. #auspol
