In Venice, I stood in front of a marble tablet carved hundreds of years ago that laid out exactly how bread had to be made in this city. They put it in stone because whoever made it understood that if you did not hold the line on something as basic as bread, you would eventually end up with Wonder Bread. They were right. We did. Nabisco and General Mills are not going to love this idea. That is the whole point. We need to get back to marble bread recipes.

A group of Russian artillerymen have been reassigned to infantry because they ran out of ammunition. They fled the battlefield because they were being sent to assault without proper training. You and your family finally get some time to go spend the day doing something fun. While waiting in line you notice some teenagers that decided that they were too entitled to wait in the line, they slip through the bars and decide to cut everyone else who has been patiently waiting for their turn. This example turned out well because right before they got to the front, they were caught and kicked out of the park. Do you think that was appropriate or do you think since they are still kids, they should just have gotten a warning?

Heartbreaking. The Ukrainian city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region - before and after Russia’s war. More than 67,000 people lived here, and nearly 80,000 including the surrounding suburbs. It was one of the major industrial cities in the Donetsk region. Kostiantynivka was known as the glass capital of Donbas. Dozens of enterprises operated here: glass factories, metallurgy plants, chemical industry facilities, and producers of construction materials. The city was lively and loud. Before the RPF took power, the FAR had an estimated strength of 45,000 soldiers. If 36,000 former FAR soldiers were absorbed into the RDF without being prosecuted or publicly accused of genocide, on what basis are they now being labeled as genocidaires? Given that thousands of former FAR fighters were integrated into the RDF, others died in combat, and many were repatriated to Rwanda in the years that followed, how many former FAR members could have realistically remained in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)? And suppose the majority were either reintegrated, deceased, or repatriated. Why is the FDLR — which allegedly includes these remnants — solely accused of being a genocidal force, while the 36,000 former FAR in the RDF are not?
