Amazing, a former FDA associate commissioner Peter J. Pitts affirmed that the mechanism of action in the approved label confirms the science of Anktiva, by the FDA itself. Jay Bhattacharya agrees with Dr. Pitts and highlights the new path just released by Dr. Marty Makary of the “Plausible Mechanism of Action” to expedite and accelerate access to the American public. Two senior thoughtful members of the panel, a former FDA senior official and the present NIH/CDC director now affirm that the plausible mechanism of action is the path to rapid access. This is what we have been presenting to the FDA for the past 6 months to desperately allow the 13,000+ requests from Americans to access Anktiva via this pathway. His lymphocyte count has been dropping from radiation and chemo, and our prayer is to see those numbers rise—along with a strong surge in natural killer cells. We’re not just fighting for Andrew. We’re fighting for every cancer patient who deserves access to hope and real options. Our mission is to help push the FDA to approve this therapy nationwide, so no family is left without a chance. WHAT A TRAGEDY! I can’t believe this happened to these beautiful little girls. A future has been cut off in such a painful manner that is so difficult to come to terms with. May God keep their innocent souls in perfect peace. My prayers are with the bereaved families. May the joy of the Lord strengthen you to enable you go through this difficult phase of your life. THE LOST OF ANY CHILD ANYWHERE IS THE LOST OF A FUTURE EVERYWHERE. Can a mother leave her children? Certainly not! But the painful thing here is that, as the mother cannot leave her children, in this regrettable condition, the children have left their mothers. As a mother, I can deeply relate with the mothers of these kids and what they may be going through by now. It is too painful to remember and too painful to forgive. At this moment all I wish to say is that, I pray for grace to be sufficient for you in this condition. I pray for strength for the both families of the kids. I pray for healing of hurts for all involved in this painful tragedy. I pray for love and empathy for the victims and sympathy for all who may need it. With a very heart I say PLEASE HAVE MY CONDOLENCES… GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!

Next onto my conversation with Dr. Ashish Kamat Ashish M. Kamat, MD, MBBS and one of the country's leading bladder cancer experts to hear his clinical decision making process as to how he treats patients with BCG unresponsive high-grade papillary disease when no CIS disease is found. (I said the word 'found' since sometimes once high-grade papillary disease is identified, physicians don't bother to look for CIS since their decision making process for treatment is the same if high-grade papillary alone exists. Worse, only 6% of urologists have the blue-light cystoscopy scope that helps them find CIS disease). Dr. Kamat who participated in the initial guidelines discussion with regard to BCG unresponsive in 2016, gave me an insightful answer as to how he treats patients clinically with high-grade papillary alone. Please listen to his insightful answer, the editor of the seminal textbook entitled, "Bladder Cancer: A Practical Guide". He treats patients with high-grade papillary disease alone no differently than in patients with high-grade papillary and CIS disease. This was not surprising for me to hear since he and many others believe that CIS and papillary are the same disease! The next day I attended the FDA workshop in which his fellow colleagues concurred that CIS and papillary was the same disease and also said that they approached patients with BCG unresponsive high-grade papillary disease in the same way as he shared with me in this interview, taken the day before the FDA workshop. His fellow colleagues and experts at the workshop said that they "struggled" and were compelled to make decisions with no option but to prescribe "off-label" therapies for patients who they see (with papillary disease alone) by writing a prescription for already FDA approved therapies for papillary and CIS disease. So the consensus at this panel completely matched the panel of experts from comprehensive cancer centers across the nation who made up the NCCN and provided category 2A status for Anktiva + BCG for the treatment of BCG unresponsive papillary disease alone. Cancer is a war against time Disclaimer: Anktiva + BCG for the treatment of BCG unresponsive papillary disease is not approved and is awaiting review by the FDA as a supplemental BLA. A personal message: Five years ago, my younger brother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. While we’re incredibly grateful that he responded well to treatment, the sad reality is that too many families of pediatric cancer patients aren’t as lucky. Please take a moment to watch his video, and if you can, send a message to your state’s U.S. Senators to urge them to vote yes on the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act. This bipartisan legislation aims to expedite the process of developing new treatment options for pediatric patients by providing the FDA with the authority to compel pharmaceutical companies to study the efficacy of combination drug therapies in children. This will help increase survival rates while minimizing treatment-induced side effects, many of which are irreversible. In return, the companies can receive priority review vouchers, which is mutually beneficial to the pediatric patients as it makes new drugs available sooner. She started her journey with 9 patients but due to her commendable work the max patient count crossed the set limit of patients (1100) every month. She owned this place like her home. These buildings were constructed by CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif but this place was settled by the health managers. I don’t talk about my loyalty to the party as there’s nothing I expect as a result of it since it was never for the reward but for the cause but my sister didn’t deserve this for being honest and fair. I watch this video - a mother screams as if life itself has been torn from her chest. She has just lost her son in the war. And I can't count how many mothers I have held in my arms as they cried, sometimes screaming the same way, tearing the silence and our hearts apart. With each of them, a piece of me has remained forever. And today, as a marine in the Ukrainian army, I have a duty to stand shoulder to shoulder with my brothers, to fight so that everyone - son, brother, child - can return home. So that we never hear these screams that tear the soul and memory to pieces again. So that mothers meet their children with joy, and not say goodbye in despair.

Doctors in Canada were required by law to report vaccine adverse events. Yet when some actually did, patients were contacted by public health officers and told their reactions didn’t count, and the physicians who reported them were investigated. Not for negligence. For reporting. Ethical clinicians who refused to look the other way were suspended, smeared, or pushed out of the system entirely. We’re not talking about a handful, there are claims this happened to well over a thousand across the country. If reporting a safety signal triggers punishment instead of investigation, that is not public health. That is coercion.

Doctors in Canada were required by law to report vaccine adverse events. Yet when some actually did, patients were contacted by public health officers and told their reactions didn’t count, and the physicians who reported them were investigated. Not for negligence. For reporting. Ethical clinicians who refused to look the other way were suspended, smeared, or pushed out of the system entirely. We’re not talking about a handful, there are claims this happened to well over a thousand across the country. If reporting a safety signal triggers punishment instead of investigation, that is not public health. That is coercion.

I’m so excited to share that I just crossed 10 years in remission! After nearly dying five times in three years and being told there were no more treatments for my disease, I never could have imagined ten years ago that I would be alive today. I could never have imagined that I would have married the love of my life, have two amazing children, and have been able to be a part of saving so many more patients lives with drugs that were literally sitting on the pharmacy shelf. It’s been more than 20 years since media headlines about the Women’s Health Initiative study incorrectly linked HRT to an increased risk of breast cancer, but even today many women still avoid HRT because of perceived breast cancer fears. This misinformation is really damaging to women’s health, so on my podcast this week I invited Dr Avrum Bluming to join me. Avrum is a leading US oncologist and has spent 25 years studying the benefits and risks of HRT in breast cancer survivors. As you’ll hear in the episode, Avrum tells me about more recent studies that have shown that oestrogen alone decreases the risk of breast cancer development by 23% and the risk of death from breast cancer by 40%. Yet many people still do not realise this.
