Statement Update 29 January 2026 On Monday morning, Holly was arrested at her home in front of her children. She was taken to the police station and later released on bail. We are not permitted to discuss the bail conditions. Due to legal reasons following this arrest, Holly and Emma made the decision to move the planned demonstrations for this coming Saturday. Holly has now been contacted by the police and informed that her bail conditions have been brought forward. She has been instructed to attend Chelmsford Police Station on Monday 2nd at 1pm, where custody will be taken. Police have advised her to arrange childcare just in case she is not released later that afternoon, stating there is another case to be addressed. This situation is deeply distressing. Holly is already traumatised after being handcuffed in front of her children. She is not sleeping and is experiencing nightmares. Her daughter is extremely anxious and worried that her mum is going to be taken away again. With high-profile individuals attending events across Essex this weekend, we also cannot ignore the increased safety risks. We are not prepared to put our supporters, families, or ourselves in danger under the current circumstances. Because of this, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel both the Wethersfield and Chelmsford demonstrations scheduled for Saturday 31st January. If individuals still wish to gather independently in these areas to raise awareness, that is entirely their own decision. However, as organisers, we will not be attending or organising any demonstrations on that day. We are absolutely devastated to have to cancel these events. We are only three months old as a team and have already achieved so much together. This decision has not been taken lightly, but the wellbeing and safety of our families must come first. We are deeply disappointed in the way this situation has been handled. A mother has been treated in a manner that has caused significant trauma to both her and her children, while serious criminality continues to impact our streets daily. I have filed many police reports across the country on behalf of myself and clients whose home addresses were published alongside the targets’ names by malicious harassers. Serious concerns have been ignored, including explicit threats of violence. Meanwhile, police are quick to send two uniformed officers to an Indigenous lawyer’s door at night, rather than contacting her by phone, alleging criminal harassment for referencing a public address with no context. All this shows is that cops apply a different standard to themselves than the general public, and that they are closely surveilling my colleague. #Toronto #ProtestMania

We are grateful to Baroness Cash for her proposed amendment for the police to record sex accurately. Claire Fox outlined the case superbly👇, including WRN's own communications with the NPCC National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), who, like the Government, have their feet set firmly in treacle. The need for correct sex data has been clearly demonstrated by Professor Alice Sullivan in her excellent report. Meanwhile, as demonstrated by WRN's own FOIs to police forces, including that of Avon and Somerset Police (referenced below by Conservatives for Women), sex is either not being recorded at all, or is being conflated with 'gender', and is entirely based on self ID. Some of the perverse consequences of this wholesale corruption of data are large numbers of 'female rapists' recorded. As a result, no one can rely on the integrity or credibility of police data with regard to sex. This is unacceptable.

Today, despite having informed the police in advance that I intended to attend a gathering of supporters of the Islamic Republic, I was subjected to unacceptable and deeply concerning conduct by the Metropolitan Police Service. While I had engaged in no form of violence and was merely asking participants simple questions including “Are you Iranian?” and “Do you support the Islamic Republic?” I was first assaulted by a woman who threw a sandwich at my face. Shortly afterwards, I was suddenly subjected to physical force by a police officer. This use of force was so excessive and unprofessional that it aggravated an existing injury to my rib. Following this incident, instead of protecting me as the victim of an assault, the police threatened me that I must either leave London or face arrest. I was then again presented with the ultimatum of leaving the area or being arrested. This occurred despite the fact that the assault against me took place in full view of police officers, who failed to take any meaningful action to protect me. This conduct constitutes not only a clear violation of my right to freedom of expression and peaceful presence at a public gathering, but also demonstrates unequal and discriminatory treatment by the police. I will be pursuing this matter through the appropriate legal and oversight channels and will be filing a formal complaint against the Metropolitan Police Service for the violation of my rights. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate has also been notified and is expected to conduct a parallel investigation. Mdhluli said the involvement of IPID aligns with the SAPS commitment to accountability and transparency in policing. “The SAPS remains steadfast in promoting professionalism and upholding the Code of Conduct, which governs the behaviour of all members,” he said. I first became aware of the Indigo (then Chapters) boycott as a university student, around 2007. Over the past two years, I’ve documented several protests targeting CEO Heather Reisman in Toronto, Oakville, and Burlington. What stands out at these recent demonstrations is the recurring presence of individuals whose pattern of conduct involves harassment under the banner of activism, including several professors, and a revolving door of post-secondary students. Having been targeted by the same network since 2021, I have firsthand knowledge of the harm they can inflict, and that’s just as an observer of protests. Canadian law protects the right to assemble and express grievances, but those rights end where the rights of others begin. My $0.02.

An FIR for abetment of suicide has been registered at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station under section 108/61(2)BNS against the wife Swati who is also a Judge and her IAS sister Nidhi Malik in the suicide case of Karkardooma Court Judge Aman Kumar Sharma. But it seems more like a planned murder than a suicide as per the statement of Adv Prem Kumar Sharma, Father of Judge Aman Kumar Sharma. IAS Nidhi Malik is a 2013 Batch IAS officer who is posted in Jammu at Present. She is married to 2012 Batch IPS Officer Devesh Kumar Mahla who was posted as DCP at New Delhi District of Delhi Police and is currently posted as Director, FSSAI with Central Government. It is speculated that even Nidhi Malik is not having a harmonious relationship with her husband. We are waiting to see that how Delhi Police will handle this case with the names of Judge, IAS and even IPS connected with the case now.

The pattern appears particularly pronounced within the Omnicause protest circuit, particularly its Antifa-aligned subset. Deputy Chief Frank Barredo says the Counterterrorism and Security Unit can be engaged, and Project Resolute “looks at all aspects of protests… whenever possible, we try to hold people accountable.” Focusing solely on individual arrests risks missing the forest for the trees. Man Arrested After Knife Incident, Bradford College A man has been arrested following an incident near Bradford College this morning. Reports were received from 9.21am of a man armed with what appeared to be a knife on Great Horton Road. He was detained by college security staff and arrested by attending officers. A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two members of the public and assaulting two emergency workers. He was also arrested for a racially-aggravated public order offence and causing damage to a police vehicle. The two injured members of the public have been taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. A small gardening tool was seized by police at the scene. Detective Inspector Ailis Coates said: “We know that this incident will understandably cause some concern in the community. I would like to reassure people that the suspect was quickly detained by security staff and arrested by the police. “We understand that this incident has been witnessed by a large number of people and that some people may have filmed bits of it. We would ask them to please share this footage with the police as it could greatly assist us in our ongoing investigation. “We currently have a police scene in place on Great Horton Road and people can expect to see our neighbourhood policing colleagues in the area providing reassurance to college staff and students and the wider community.”
