Marc Andreessen says when AI does everything else, VC might be one of the last jobs still done by humans. It's more art than science. There's no formula. Just taste, psychology, and chaos tolerance.

Stop tagging me in this 😆

If AI does everything else, there won't be founders for VCs to pick. All the things that would have been built by founders will already have been built by OpenAI.

It’s about time historically marginalized groups like VCs caught a break

yup - too much drip for ai to replace

not taking advice from a guy with that head shape

"Our job is just guessing and trying to get lucky and then ad hoc pretending to be smarter than everyone else. Therefore, AI Can't replace us..."

Dude VCs are just roulette players . You're telling me AI won't be able to understand the law of large numbers and make probablistic bets. In that case all jobs are safe.

This dude is kidding himself. Taking someone else's money and marrying it to someone else's ideas and effort while standing in the middle and taking a cut is ripe for disruption. It's just friction in the system. At one time, you might have needed "information brokers" because of the time/cost associated with money discovering investment these opportunities. But as the quality and velocity of information increases I see it going the way of the travel agent. It's already changing significantly.

People will always show you the hole in the armor, and their greatest vulnerability, if you just let them speak.
