We adopted our Declaration of Independence. We do not live under British common law. British common law may serve as a historical guide, but it has to be filtered through our constitutional system. The American people know, instinctively, what this decision is based on. What the opinion argues is that under 1600s British common law, if someone was born on the king’s land, that person became a subject of the sovereign—the king. What has happened to British manhood? I can’t help but feel like what @TommyRobinsonNewEra says here is correct. Previous generations of British men would not have tolerated the level of ambient violence and disorder on our streets that we currently see. I favor ending birthright citizenship for those whose parents entered the country *illegally* because we shouldn’t reward those who violate the law with the intent of exploiting the citizenship rules. The Framers of the 14th Amendment never intended this & it’s arguably not even what it says (don’t forget the “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clause which is often ignored). That’s common sense.

Contempt of Court is Not a Law in Ireland Under Article 15.2 of the Constitution of Ireland, the sole and exclusive power of making laws for the State is vested in the Oireachtas. Not only should it not be controversial that I refuse to give myself powers that are not clearly stated in federal law, but that should absolutely be the standard, the constant of how an EPA Administrator approaches this position. Strictly adhere to the single best reading of the law pursuant to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright, and don’t ever get creative in trying to give myself any powers that the law hasn’t given me. If Congress wants me to do something other than the single best reading of the law, then they should try to change the law instead of demanding that I circumvent statute.
