Let me talk about my marriage for a second. We've been together sixteen years, married twelve. We almost got divorced when I was in the White House. My wife probably hates Trump almost as much as Melania does — and that is a very high standard of hatred. She knew things about him from friends and she really didn't want me to go work for him and we were fighting for other reasons on top of all that. We reconciled because I believe relationships shouldn't be transactional and they shouldn't be disposable. If you love each other and somebody makes a mistake, you can't throw the whole thing away because it didn't go perfectly. No marriage is perfect. Every marriage is a work in progress. But I can honestly tell you we're closer today than we were before any of it happened. That's the only good thing I can say came out of those eleven days.

And thank God they eventually remove themselves from the community on their own, because fundamentally they were never really part of the community to begin with, given the kinds of actions and thoughts they have. Now, you all know very well that there are people among you who help me, whom I absolutely welcome and appreciate a lot, actually, probably more than what they even give me. And as a result, I do have a human, working relationship that goes beyond just being a fan, right? So of course, in certain circumstances, because of specific skills people have and the kind of help they give, it’s obvious that more conversations start happening and a more developed human relationship begins, beyond a simple… you know. That’s how life works. It’s not like I can live my life and talk to every single one of you in the exact same way. It’s normal,choices are made based on the situations that come up. Anyone who’s mentally healthy understands this and tries to build a human relationship with me in some way. But those who aren’t healthy think, “Well, why does she talk to her and not to me?” But I can’t talk to everyone. Even though I try to do it in my own way, if I started talking to every single one of you, my life would obviously be over. And I think that applies to anyone who has a community or a group of people who follow them. So then this thing came out about me going to Disneyland. But, holy crap, as they say, maybe! Maybe I would go to Disneyland! And even if I did go to Disneyland, it’s none of your fucking business if I want to go to Disneyland. What the fuck do you care if I want to go to Disneyland? It’s my business. Also, I haven’t been to Disneyland in 18 years, last time was with a friend from high school. But even then, it’s still my business if I want to go with whomever I want: if I’m dating someone or not, if I want to go with a friend, if I want to go with a fan I choose from among you. Is it my business or not? I mean, is everything okay with you people? And then, what the fuck does it change for you? Do you appreciate me for who I am? Good. Appreciate me for who I am and for what I do, not for who I’m with or where I go. Sometimes it feels like I’m talking to a jealous girlfriend. But I already, normally, believe me, don’t get involved with certain people, or a certain type of person, because jealousy and unresolved issues really bother me. Let me explain better. Let’s say I get into a relationship. My partner should never make jealousy scenes. You want to go to Disneyland with your friends? Go. Don’t go. What do I care? That’s your business. It’s great that our paths cross and we have a beautiful, loving life together, but that doesn’t erase my other relationships or my other bonds. Sometimes, with some people in this community, it feels like I’m dating them, like they think I’m their girlfriend. That’s not normal. You’re fanatics, you’re not well. So it’s actually a good thing if you don’t come to the meetups I organize. I even send you a kiss and bye-bye, good riddance, because you’re not right in the head. Anyway, what was I saying… maybe I’d really like to go to Disneyland, but honestly I don’t even have the head for Disneyland anymore. I’ve got other stuff going on in my brain, as they say, and for now I prefer working over going to Disneyland. Also, instead of Disneyland, I would’ve preferred the Maldives, if we really want to say it. Or at least the sea, one way or another. But if I go to London, if I go to Paris, it’s for one reason: to have the chance to work and create content. And on the other hand, to meet you. So if I go to Paris that day, it’s because I’m trying to organize a day where I can go and meet you for an hour or so, because I’m only there for a day. And I hope you can understand that.”

Not long ago, I turned down an offer from a major news network. I read through the terms and realized it came with too many constraints, it was more of a control document than a partnership. So I walked away and chose a smaller outlet instead. The pay was not the same, but they treated me with integrity and gave me the freedom I cared about. No one ever controlled my speech. My mom thought I was making a mistake. She warned me that people who cling to idealism and independence in the media don’t usually end up financially secure. My dad saw it differently. He told me to go for it, decline the fancy offer and go with what I believed, he said that I had the drive to carve my own path and shouldn’t let myself get absorbed into something that didn’t fit. He’s always been in my corner. He's my best friend. I trusted that instinct and went all in. That decision gave me the space to chase my own vision in journalism, and eventually I stepped out completely on my own, no overhead, no constraints. It’s intense, almost nonstop work 24/7, but the payoff is real - I love what I do, I respect the people I work with and I get to stay true to myself. I sleep so well at night! I might not be the richest journalist out there, but I’d argue I’m one of the luckiest. I love my colleagues and I love my friends in the industry. Journalists are often hated today because of the rise of propaganda machines, but some are doing far braver work than many soldiers out there! So support the good ones, you all know who they are. 🧚‍♀️: I was very weak. For about four years, it shook me honestly, four years. Maybe only last year I started to let go. We have to accept that you’re a public figure, you’re in the spotlight. There are people who love you, and people who hate you. Even if you’re the best version of yourself, those who hate you won’t suddenly love you. You can’t change anyone’s mind, and words can really stay in people’s heart. Luckily for me, I’ve already passed that point, because I went through so much. There were about three to four years when I was attacked every single day on social media, in person, in direct messages. I faced so much, and it made me who I am today. I’ve dealt with so many rumors too, with people saying things, ordering things I don’t even understand. It almost made me stop moving forward. But still, I’ve stayed true to myself, the same as from day one until now. So I’ll keep living as me, always. #beckysangels

my new song “BREAKDOWN.” is out on the 21st of June!!! 🖤🖤🖤 I wrote this poem because it’s been the hardest year for my mental health. In my life I’ve always never felt good enough, it’s just the thing that’s eaten me up. For as long as I can remember i have felt constantly afraid of how quickly my head can turn dark. It’s always been so hard to fight the darkness that i inevitably have. A lot of people will say it’s a phase and it will go away. But it doesn’t and the reality of the situation is I have to find strategies to deal with it. To put it plainly the things I don’t like about myself will probably never change, people tell me one day I’ll come-to terms with them one day but I want that day to be FUCKING NOW. This song is a message to myself to try and exist alongside my insecurities and my darkness by grounding myself and remembering what is real in life and the world is so much bigger than me. Try and get out of your head and notice the world around you, notice the things and people around you. Connect with them, the chances are they probably feel the same. Don’t let the bullshit inside your head consume you. It just wastes precious time. Remember what is real. Help people, be kind, help the world, help yourself. If you think you can’t do it, you can. You can get through this, trust me. Use this poem in a mornin to get u out of bed, use it when youre about to back out of something last minute, use it when you’re at your darkest. It’s got a little bit of light in it. Don’t forget to put your feet in the grass … Mind

☕️I spent a little time at the beach the other morning reflecting and contemplating🧠. Dont mind my glasses🤓, I dont and left them broken because they still can perform their fuction. It leads me into the idea I propose to you today. #acceptance Let it go. Let go of things that you can not control. Focus on yourself first and accept things around you as they are and stop trying to change them to be how you want them. Start changing yourself instead. Be like the crab 🦀 who uses the ocean water to cary him to a safe location where he can grow and prosper. Live in acceptance of others❤️. Stop fighting🤬 things so hard and instead use the flow of the natural world around you to help MOVE you forward⏩️. Life can be simple if you start breaking it down to its most simple structures. 1 step at a time, you can, and YOU WILL! #freewill #love

"This is the first time I didn't shoot for a takedown. Casual fans can go f*ck themselves. I don't care. I'm proud of myself. I'm still getting out of my comfort zone at 37 years old, trying new things, just trying to expand myself as a competitor, in terms of what I can do under the lights. I'm not a knockout artist. I doubt I'll ever get a knockout in my entire career, but the fact that I was able and willing to go out there and stand for 15 minutes, I'm proud of myself, and no one can take that from me." I know exactly what is going on' 'In 2010 I served in Afghanistan where children would come up asking for water and shot my friend point blank in the face and ran away' That was 15 years ago. He would be the same age now as the people coming over on dingies today. What kind of government brings them over because they are sometimes on private flights to put them in hotels whilst putting the British and those who served in on the streets?
