The Save Act requires proof of citizenship. The act does not permit a married woman to use a birth certificate plus proof of name change like a marriage license. She has to buy and maintain a passport. This will cost her approximately 1,500 more than her husband to register to vote/ maintain registration. All because 68 cases on non-citizen voting over the past 49 years according to the Heritage Foundation voter fraud database.
