Libya 🇱🇾 government putting their foot down saying:, We respect all people and all nationalities, but at the same time, we have the right to demand respect for our country's laws. Libya is not a land for resettlement, and the Libyan people are the ones who decide the future and policies of their country. We welcome anyone who enters legally and respects the country and its people, but we reject chaos and illegal immigration that harms citizens and the country. Demanding organized immigration and protecting national sovereignty is not hatred; it is a natural right for any country in the world.

After Australia’s five-year hard border shutdown on immigration, we could consider a UAE-style approach to foreigners working in Australia. In the UAE, you can live, work, invest and contribute but citizenship isn’t handed out like a sample bag. It’s protected. It’s inherited. It’s born, not bureaucratically “earned.” Australia can do the same. No automatic pathway to citizenship. No “do five years and get a passport.” No mass naturalisation used as a political strategy. After the pause, residency might reopen but citizenship stays with only those born into the Australian story. It protects cultural cohesion. It stabilises the population. It stops the demographic churn that Canberra pretends is “economic growth.” If the UAE can unapologetically protect its national identity, Australia can too. Australia First means citizenship by birth, residency by contribution. Australia has recorded its lowest ever birth rates, again. At the same time, record levels of immigrants continue to pour into the country. But not only is immigration making Aussies poorer, it’s directly correlated with declining birth rates. Research shows immigration itself is a factor behind declining birth rates - it contributes significantly to unaffordable housing, stagnant wage growth, and decreased productivity - all factors researchers have identified as key reasons Australians can’t have as many kids as they’d like, as young as they’d like, or start a family at all. The worst part is Australians have never been consulted on immigration. For decades, they’ve been staunchly against large increases, yet time after time they’re ignored while immigration rises - making them poorer and unable to have the families they want. So the solution isn’t just to tell people to “have more kids”; it’s to ease the economic pressures that currently prevent them from doing so. Immigration presently replaces our people for the sake of economic growth, but this means that it is destroying our nation. Because a country isn’t its GDP or geography - it’s the people.

Like many others who marched in the March for Australia, I came here legally, embraced the culture, and built a life as part of the Australian community—not separate from it. We weren’t born here, but we’re proud Australians. We’re tired of politicians pushing mass immigration without thinking about the social and economic hardship it causes. We’re fed up with being called racist or hateful just for wanting to protect our way of life, our jobs, and our communities.
