Massachusetts State Police Trooper Dies After Wrong-Way Crash on Route 1 A Massachusetts State Police trooper has died after being seriously injured in a wrong-way crash early Wednesday morning, the department announced. The crash occurred on the northbound side of Route 1 in Lynnfield. Authorities have not yet released the trooper’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
