And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. So I think that tour started in that way where it was like, I was really bubbled up even kind of within the tour. And then staying on that tour, we put an album out and it ended up being like two and a half years type time. It's just a long time to be in like a bubble where you're not really spending that much time like in the world around you, other than shows and hotels and stuff. Look how happy she is!😍 Taking a prize home to her hungry babies. This is the desperate badger mum who came into my garden looking for anything to eat, and left with nothing. The following evening I put some food out for her in the woods, where I know she visits (to drink from the water I leave out there daily for wildlife). I left good quality dry cat food for her to eat, and slices of Chubb Roll and chopped apples and pears to take home to her cubs. While textbook badger behaviour states they don't carry food to cubs, extreme environmental stress forces wildlife to adapt and break the rules, and as there's zero natural forage in this drought, clearly that's what this clever mum was doing. She spent the whole night there. After all these weeks of deprivation and stress it must have felt like Christmas for this sweet mum. She made several trips back to her sett with food, in between eating for herself and resting and drinking. Just before dawn she covered up what was left, and went to bed full and content. Author Emilee Hackney says she felt like she was on "another planet" when she arrived at Harvard after growing up in Appalachia. "That was also a very surreal experience," she told PBS News' amna. "I felt like I'd been dropped on another planet, just meeting all kinds of people from all different backgrounds I've never met before. I've never encountered so many different kinds of cultures or languages." Hackney, who grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia, also noted that she felt "exoticized" when people heard her accent and found out where she was from. "They've got this idea in their head of what that means, what Appalachia is, and suddenly I'm a stereotype," she said. "I'm kind of flattened in their eyes." In her memoir, "All That's Unseen: An Appalachian Memoir," she talks about growing up in the region and trying to reconcile with it ever since she left. This kid is in need of a police encounter without body cams. Cop tells him he’s trespassing and needs to leave the private property. Reasonable and lawful request. Instead, this entitled little sh!t turns it into a full-blown harassment campaign: • Argues back like he owns the place • Demands the cop pay for his fishing license (“it’s only $20 bro”) • Whines about “no signs” and “fence was cut” • Follows the officer down the path repeatedly demanding badge number and name • Keeps filming and trying to bait the cop. Absolute clown behavior. Zero respect, zero awareness, all main character syndrome. The cop showed way more patience and restraint than I would have. Just fish somewhere else and stop harassing cops doing their job, you fckn idiot.
