Just designed a new machine. It’s called a wire de-coiler. As the name suggests, it de-coils the wire to be fed into the machine. It works in tandem with our CNC machines. This is a bought out machine till now but we did the math and we can actually make it for roughly the price. Another machine to be made in-house soon!

.Eric Jang tried using transformers for his Go bot, but they couldn't beat ResNets. The reason gets at something general about architectures. ResNets are biased towards the local. Nearby things matter more, and a useful pattern in one place is a useful pattern anywhere. Transformers are biased the other way, towards global context, with every position able to attend to every other. Most Go fighting is local, and a useful local pattern learned in one position can be applied anywhere in the board. A ResNet's inductive bias means it gets these insights about Go for free. But a transformer has to pay for them.

Darts are small, stitched down folds that give a garment shape. They are typically used on areas that need to hug the curves of a body, such as the waist of a jacket or above the seat on a pair of trousers. Unfortunately, darts can also distort a pattern. This is especially obvious on chalkstripes and pinstripes, since the pattern should match across the body and pockets. Here are four ways tailors have dealt with this issue: — Steed: Place the dart between the stripes and carefully shape it so that the lines move out where they need, matching the pockets. (IG steedtailors) — Leonard Logsdail: Place the dart along the stripe. This means one of the stripes suddenly disappears around the chest, but the pattern still matches across the pockets. IMO, this is fine on fine stripes, but can be jarring on very bold stripes. Looks good here though. (IG leonardlogsdail) — Sartoria Raffaniello: Place the dart between two of the stripes, so you push them together. This will make two of the stripes converge like an arrowhead point. (IG sartoria_raffaniello) — Jerry Xu: Place the dart between two stripes, but make them converge into a single stripe, allowing you to match the pattern across the pockets. (IG jerrysuit163) — Tailor CAID: Do away with the front dart entirely. This results in straighter sides, which won't hug your waist, but you preserve the pattern completely. Also, a mark of classic American style. (IG tailorcaid) — Liverano & Liverano: Replace the front dart with a hidden underarm dart. This preserves the pattern for the area that people see and allows you to get some waist shaping. (IG liveranoandliverano) — Salve Studios: Next level. Move the pattern! This is clearly too laborious for most tailoring commissions, but nice to see this kind of craft. (IG salve.studios)

Instead of accountability, they manufacture narratives. What is more concerning is that many of these voices are not neutral or principled. They actively engage in targeted abuse against individuals they disagree with, often backed by power centres within the ecosystem. This is not random trolling. A very active weather pattern is setting up for next week, with multiple storm systems lined up to sweep across the US. It'll all begin with heavy rain slamming the West Coast this weekend into early next week, then the pattern shifts east as a parade of storms brings widespread rain, warm temperatures, and even the potential for severe weather. Because of the warmth, most of these will be rain makers, with only our brotheren in the western mountains being the only folks to get in on the snow. And although Severe Weather is certainty possible, the details still need to be ironed out. Nothing is guaranteed - but it’s definitely on the table in this setup. Get ready to get wet. 🌧️

Typically, the axial plane (the short axis of the muscle) is used to study fibrillar tears, with a high diagnostic sensitivity. However, on many occasions, it can be easier to scan through the long axis of the muscle to visualize the different muscle fascicles and the pennation angle in their entirety, being able to make the diagnosis by observing the interruption and loss of tension of the muscle fascicles associated with the loss of the normal pennation angle. In the present case, the normal fibrillar pattern is initially visualized in the medial region of the rectus femoris muscle until the presence of a fibrillar tear in the posterolateral myofascial junction of its proximal third, where there is a sudden interruption of the fibrillar pattern due to the presence of an intramuscular hematoma.
