Matt Damon opens up about the brutal reality of his sleep schedule, how having kids ruined it, and why filming his latest movie forced him onto the "Odyssey 5" rule where 5 hours felt like a miracle. Amy Poehler: Incredible. What's your sleep situation? Do you sleep? Do you love to sleep? You got teenagers in the house. Matt Damon: Once you had kids, did you ever sleep well again? Amy Poehler: No, it wasn't until they got older. It was a huge stretch where I felt like I didn't sleep for 10 years. Matt Damon: I've been a lighter sleeper. But on this movie, me and the PAs had a joke called "the Odyssey 5", if you could get 5 hours of sleep, you were thrilled. Amy Poehler: That's tough. That's not a lot of sleep. Matt Damon: It wasn't, but it was enough. Though I realized 5 is the cutoff. There were some 4-hour nights, and two nights where I didn't sleep at all. Amy Poehler: Because you were working?
