Matt Painter shares the mindset shift that transformed his players and his coaches. And it's simpler than you think. "You're really gonna take off as a player once you start getting over yourself. But you're really gonna take off as a coach when you get over yourself." "That's just...

Mike Vrabel gives a masterclass on mindset, self-talk, and dealing with doubt. "You can't let doubt creep into what you do as a person. I don't care what you do." "You have to be able to talk to yourself and not listen to yourself so much. You have to tell yourself what to believe." Read that again about your self-talk. Talk to yourself - don't just listen to yourself. Your mind will feed you doubt, fear, and negativity. Your job is to challenge it. Tell yourself what's true, not what's easy to believe. "That doesn't say that there aren't tough times that you struggle with failure. You have to be able to recognize it and know that that is a part of all of us." Failure isn't the opposite of success - it's part of the path to it. Successful people don't avoid adversity. They expect it. They know that they must learn from the setbacks and challenges. "If you coach long enough, you're gonna get fired. Just like if you play long enough, you're gonna get cut or you're gonna get traded. That's just how this business is." That's the reality. Not cynicism...clarity. "I've tried to explain it to the players that this is what happens. And I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to do it with this group of guys." Tough times happen. The choice is to be a tough person that overcomes those tough times. (🎥New England Patriots )

Lulu Cheng Meservey says if you're going to warn people AI will take half their jobs, the one rule is don't smile while you say it. "A lot of CEOs are describing that AI will cause massive job loss. Most people will look at that and say, don't say that." "I look at it a little bit differently. If you believe that it'll cause massive job loss, and you're in that rare position, I think you do have an obligation to warn people and to try to get us to prepare for it." "But the really small but really important thing is, don't look happy when you're saying it. Don't be smiling when you say there's going to be a 50% unemployment rate in a year."

My advice to people: Shut the social media off. Not forever — just give yourself a break. An hour is fine. Two hours, okay. Eight hours is too much and you know it. -Read a book. -Watch a YouTube lecture. -Do something that actually fills you up. And here's the other thing, doubting yourself and feeling pressure is normal. Take a breath. It doesn't mean something is wrong with you. But you have to manifest and get yourself into the right mindset. Read about positive actualization. Think big. Do it consistently and over time things start to shift in ways that surprise you. The first person you have to believe in is yourself and when you start projecting that confidence it becomes habitual. That's when everything changes.

Bukayo Saka admits he’s been gambling with his fitness throughout last season and will continue to do so: “I think when you have that success and you taste it, you want to do it again. It can go two ways, but when I speak for myself, I'd say it's definitely made me want to do it again and come into this tournament with even more hunger.” Alex Howell: “Your fitness, how has that been? Has that been frustrating for you, maybe people watching, not knowing what you're pushing yourself to do? And have you had to learn more about yourself, how to play, when maybe you're not 100%?” Saka: “Yeah, but I think as players, you know, It's the biggest gamble, especially if you're not feeling your sharpest, you have the choice whether you don't play or you put yourself out there knowing that people are going to judge you the same. “And at the end of the day, people don't really care how you're feeling. They expect you to deliver, they expect you to perform. And yeah, I'm happy to take that gamble and it paid off, I'd say. And I'm going to continue doing that. But like I said, I'm feeling a lot better than I did in March and I'm ready to go.”

Tony Bennett shares a masterclass on humility and why most people get it wrong. "When we talk to our young men about what humility means, it's twofold and sometimes it's not what you think." "Don't think too highly of yourself. If you wanna turn people off, walk around arrogantly thinking you own this place." "But we also talk about the other aspect: don't think too lowly of yourself. That's false humility." Most people only see one side. Real humility is balanced. "Have sober judgment. That's what humility means - to really know who you are as a player, as a team. And know who you're not." It takes self-awareness to know who you are and where you want to go. Then he shared a definition that changes everything: "I heard Timothy Keller give the definition of humility as this: It's not thinking less of yourself - it's thinking of yourself less." That's the difference. Not self-doubt, but selflessness. "We're all so selfish. When your team gets past that, that's when you have success. It's been about the team and less about yourself." "People look at humility as a position of weakness. But I think it is true strength. There's power in true humility." It takes humility to be willing to learn and listen. It takes humility to be willing to admit you don't know yet. It takes humility to be unoffendable and put the team first. (🎥 UVA Basketball)

why Rogan believes wanting the money is the thing that stops you from getting it MrBeast: "I would argue it's not even just for content creation. If you want to be an accountant or really anything, it's just put in a lot of hours, do a lot of iterations, surround yourself with great people, and obsess over it. Stay focused, consume it. And then recognize, you might be like, 'Oh, well, this person did it in 10 months. Why is it taking me so long?' It's average and statistics. Just give yourself enough time frame. I'm not saying you'll make tens of millions of dollars, but if you want to do that thing for a living, if you follow those trades, it's going to happen eventually." Rogan: "Well, you have to be process-oriented, not goal-oriented. The process is getting better at stuff. The goal of being financially secure comes with it eventually. But if you think 'I want X amount of money,' well, that's what you're going to think about. You're not going to think about the actual thing you're making, so it won't be as good, so you'll probably never get there."

Mikel Arteta’s beautiful praise to his staff and players. “That's when you have a difficult period. I think the best thing that you can do instead of talk a lot is observe. Look around you and see how people react. How they talk, how they look at you, how they judge you, what they do. Do they look at themselves, do they start to criticise other people? “Look around and you're going to learn the environment and the people that you have around you. “I cannot be prouder to work in a club with people that the only thing they could do is ask, what else can I do to help? “When you have people like this, I don't know if it's gonna take another week or two, but something good it will happen at the end because we deserve it.”

💬 glow up tips spiritually not just physically 🌙 I would say, don't think negative . energy is really real. what you say out loud, what you think to yourself, and what you believe in about yourself is energy that is out in the open, the universe takes that and gives it back to you. so if you're like "oh i'm ugly, i hate myself" you know, you look at yourself and you gonna all like "ah i hate the way i look i hate this i hate that" you're gonna be that you know. so don't be a lil bitch, love yourself even if you don't just fake it. and if could give you any tips i'd say spritual shower, look into that.

"That made me super proud man. ... When you want to live that lifestyle, it's only two things that come from it: death or in jail. It's okay to listen to the music and enjoy it, but don't fall so deep into it where you want to idolize it and be that. But if you're competent and silent then you're just part of the background that's keeping everything functioning" On why you cannot negotiate from a position of weakness: "If you want to push your career forward you have to push it forward. You have to be competent and you have to be strategic" "To be strategic when you negotiate for a new position or a new salary you have to be able to say if you don't give me what I want then something you don't like will happen to you" "It's not a physical threat. It's that you have an option" "You have your CV in order. You're educated and competent and desirable to people outside of your immediate job. You're willing to instantly put yourself on the job market" "So that when you go talk to the person you're negotiating with you're credible" On the one thing most people completely miss about negotiation: "It's very seldom that you're talking to the person who's at the top of the pecking order. What you need to do is tell them a story that they can tell to their boss to make you not a problem" "A good story is look we really need this person because they're hyper competent and they have a better offer" "If you go in there with no power you're going to lose. Obviously" He concludes with the one thing every competent person needs to hear: "The first thing you need to know if you're going to negotiate is that you have to be able to say no. And what no means is that you're not going to do it"

Tillman says cheap Bitcoin-backed loans will unlock retail adoption "You can say all you want about real estate and how it's made so many millionaires in America. It's the backbone, it is. But when you really peel back the onion, the reason why it is, is because it's one of the most liquid assets that you can have upside potential against." "You can go to any bank and pull a HELOC literally the day after you close on a property, and they'll give you money against the positive equity. We've systematically made liquidity available attached to real estate." "When that can be said for Bitcoin, I think you're gonna see more people come in, because you're gonna see lower-rate offerings. You're gonna see rates that are more attractive than any other rate you can get when the collateral is Bitcoin, period, the end." "Why? Well, because it's easier to repossess. There's a lot of other reasons too, but just there, it's gonna be a cheaper rate. What does that do? It just attracts people to use it as collateral." "That's really where the breaking point happens for retail in America - when you can go down to a bank and go, I own a Bitcoin, and they go, great, we'll give you a preferred rate against a loan attached to it, send it to this wallet and you'll get the money tomorrow." "When we get there, it will be a household name like we've never dreamed it would be."

Absolutely the worst. I hate it. I want everyone to like me. I can't stand it. I go, oh my gosh, what can I do to make you like me?” “I think the answer is you can't. I just think at the end of the day, your home is your castle. You either own it or you don't, right? And if you have to keep paying tax to the government your whole life just to live on your own property, do you really own it then if they can take it back from you if you don't pay?”

Jordan Peterson: "If you can't fix your room, you can't fix your life" "Why should you even bother improving yourself? The answer is something like: so you don't suffer anymore stupidly than you have to. And maybe so others don't have to either. It's not some casual self-help doctrine. If you don't organize yourself properly, you'll pay for it. In a big way. And so will the people around you." Peterson continues: "You can say, 'Well, I don't care about that.' But that's actually not true, you do care about it. Because if you're in pain, you will care about it. It's very rare that you can find someone in excruciating pain who would say, 'Well, it would be no better if I was out of this.' Pain brings the idea that it would be better if it didn't exist along with it. It's incontrovertible." On how to start: "Look around for something that bothers you and see if you can fix it. You can do this in a room. Sit in your bedroom and think: 'If I wanted to spend ten minutes making this room better, what would I have to do?' You have to ask yourself that, it's a genuine question. And things will pop out. There's a stack of papers bugging you. Some rubbish behind your computer monitor you haven't attended to for six months. Cables tangled up." He explains why this matters: "If you were coming to see me for psychotherapy, the easiest thing would be to get you to organize your room. You think, is that psychotherapy? It depends on how you conceive the limits of your being. Start where you can start. If something announces itself as in need of repair that you could repair, fix it. Fix a hundred things like that, your life will be a lot different." On fixing what you repeat every day: "People tend to think of their daily routines as trivial. You get up, brush your teeth, have breakfast. Those probably constitute 50% of your life. People think, they're mundane, I don't need to pay attention to them. No, that's exactly wrong. The things you do every day are the most important things you do. Hands down. Just do the arithmetic." On staying within your competence: "Sometimes you don't know how to fix something. Imagine you're walking down the street and there's a guy who's alcoholic and schizophrenic and has been homeless for ten years. That's a problem. It would be good if you could fix it, but you haven't got a clue. You walk around that and go find something you could fix. Just because something announces itself as in need of repair doesn't mean it's you, right then and there, who should repair it. You have to have some humility. You don't walk up to a helicopter that isn't working and just start tinkering away." Peterson shares the key insight: "As soon as you give your mind a genuine aim, it'll reconfigure the world in keeping with that aim. That's actually how you see to begin with. You've all seen the video where you watch basketballs being tossed back and forth, and while you're doing that, a gorilla walks into the middle of the video and you don't see it. If you thought about that experiment for five years, that would be about the right amount of time to spend thinking about it." He explains what it reveals: "What it shows you is that you see what you aim at. If you can get one thing through your head, that would be a good one. You see what you aim at. One inference you might draw from that is: be careful what you aim at. What you aim at determines the way the world manifests itself to you. So if the world is manifesting itself in a very negative way, one thing to ask is: are you aiming at the right thing?"

It's very rare that you can find someone in excruciating pain who would say, 'Well, it would be no better if I was out of this.' “Just promise me that when things get tough and when things get dark you’ll still reserve a glimmer, it could be speck of hope, that things will get better, cuz shit, they always somehow do, even if you think it won’t it always does. But that entirely, it really is up to you. But I said this before but we will hold each other accountable. So promise me you, you know, you’ll stick it through, and when shit gets tough just remember you are tougher, so you do have it in you, always. Everything will be pulling at you because you’ve been challenged, it’s a test, and you just have to come out on top. You’re not alone, but sometimes the fight is alone, and it’s just to prove how strong you are, that’s all it is. You got this. You do, you really have this. Everything will be okay. You got it.”
