A few years ago, I asked him about his major league debut, how he ended up going to Toronto, and what it was like being the set-up man to Tom Henke, and eventually, the closer who saved a record 45 games in 1993. Also: Who was the toughest hitter he had to face? Rest in peace, Wardo. It was a pleasure knowing you and watching you play.
