The primary objective of this post is to persuade you to like and follow my YouTube Channel. Currently, I have 999,000 subscribers, and Iโ€™d like to get to a million before I launch the first episode of People You Should Know. As you may have heard, people have begging me for several years to reboot Returning the Favor, ever since Facebook canceled it after a hundred episodes, (and right after it won an Emmy!) Unfortunately, that title belongs to Facebook, but the business of celebrating regular people with bottom-up solutions does not. Hence, a new show on YouTube called People You Should Know, which I think everyone on this page will love. Assuming of course, you're not opposed to watching it on YouTube. To make the process of liking and subscribing to my YouTube Channel as easy as possible, Iโ€™m including a link to a short video that shows me making Austin Boedekerโ€™s mother cry. Who is Austin Boedeker, you ask? Iโ€™ll tell you. Austin Boedeker is the son of a farmer in Ohio who applied for a work ethic scholarship from my foundation a year ago. His application was perfect. His references were great, his answers to my many questions were stellar, and his video was spot on. He also agreed with every single tenet in my SWEAT Pledge and signed it with great enthusiasm. So, I gave Austin some money to pursue a career in modern agriculture and wished him well. A few months ago, I caught up with Austin while filming in Ohio, not far from where he lives. I asked him to stop by the set to say hello and give us a progress report. I thought it might be helpful for people to see exactly what kind of qualities we're attempting to reward with our scholarship program. Austin brought his family with him, so I took the opportunity to grill him in front of his father, on camera. Then, I made his mother cry by doing something I had not intended to do when I showed up for work that day. The secondary objective of this post is to persuade you to share it with every mother you know. (Or better yet, with everyone you know who ever had a mother.) Doing so may or may not lead to more weeping, but it will definitely encourage more people like Austin to apply for one of our work ethic scholarships. Weโ€™re currently in the midst of our annual enrollment period, and Iโ€™m trying to give away $2.5 million to people like Austin. Sharing this post will help. To review, click here to subscribe to my YouTube Channel and see Austin Boedekerโ€™s mother cry. Click here to apply for a work ethic scholarship. And donโ€™t forget to check out the first episode of People You Should Know, after I get a million subscribers on YouTube. Which I'm hoping won't take too long... And finally, have a nice day.

People dumber than you are making more money than you. Yeah, I used that gross title on purpose. More on that in a moment. YouTube changed my life. I quit my job because of it. Built a business around it. Work with people I respect because of it. so when I talk about YouTube being a good place to build something, it is becuase Iโ€™ve watched it happen to me & people around me. Warren Buffett has a quote I love: "It's not about how hard you row, it's about what boat you're in." The idea is this. Effort matters. Environment matters more. Put someone average in the right environment and they outperform someone talented in the wrong one. so thatโ€™s the basis for my gross title ๐Ÿ˜‚ The "people dumber than you" format keeps going viral on YouTube. It triggers something true, the uncomfortable sense that effort and intelligence aren't the main variables. That the gap between you and someone earning serious money online might not be brains or work ethic. It might just be the chosen platform. so YouTube as the โ€˜boatโ€™ YouTube paid out over $100 billion to creators, artists, and partners across 2021โ€“2025. The platform's ad revenue hit $40.4 billion in 2025 alone, up nearly 12% from the year before. The creator economy as a whole was valued at roughly $252 billion in 2025, and Goldman Sachs projects it reaching $480 billion by 2027. More views, more advertiser dollars, more attention flowing toward people who figured out how to show up consistently on screen. Even a small channel in a tight niche drives clients, sales, and opportunities way beyond what its subscriber count would suggest. A channel with 8,000 subscribers in the right niche will close deals that a company with a million-dollar marketing budget couldn't. YouTube also has something distribution channels don't have, compounding growth. Videos published two years ago still drive traffic today. That's not how most advertising works. You don't pay for a Facebook ad in 2023 and get leads from it in 2025. The youtube opportunity isn't complicated, even if it takes a while to build. YouTube is a growing market. The creator economy attached to it is growing faster. Advertisers are shifting budgets from traditional channels toward creator content because it converts better and costs less per impression. The barriers to entry are lower than they've ever been, because the tools, iPhones and monetization pathways have matured. If you want a serious attempt at building something, growing a youtube channel is a good boat right now. I've put everything I've learned about YouTube, which has generated millions of views, millions in revenue, into a course. The cllip below is a small segment from itโ€™s intro. If you want more information on the course: Follow me + Comment โ€œYouTubeโ€™ below.

Daniel reveals how he bought his $220,000 dream G Wagon with kids channel on YouTube Jack: โ€œWhat's the craziest way you've made money on YouTube?โ€ Daniel: โ€œI just wrapped up running a channel around like 3 weeks ago for a new YouTube video I made. Essentially, the YouTube video was getting one subscriber equals $1 I can spend on my dream car. And so, I needed to get 220,000 subscribers to buy my dream car, which was a G Wagon for $220,000.โ€ Daniel: โ€œBasically, I ran this channel called Verusi. The videos were kids videos, and we would take these Russian creators' videos, they would make like really funny skits for like 5 year olds and we would put a voice over over them pretty much documenting what was going on in the video in the most 2 year old voice possible with the most simple wording possible.โ€ Daniel: โ€œI bought a pre monetized channel, which essentially meant that I bought the channel with already monetization enabled so that from the first video, we could generate revenue. Second video, 5 million views. Third video, 4 million views.โ€ Daniel: โ€œIn the middle of the video, we would abruptly stop and we would be like, 'Subscribe if you want a pizza, like if you want a tomato, comment if you want an apple, and do all if you want your family to like live forever or some shit like that.' It was like really, really, really like brain rot, but it worked so well. We were getting like 100,000 subscribers a week.โ€ Daniel: โ€œI essentially realized that little kids don't have their own devices. They use their parents' devices to watch content. And so when a little kid is using their parents' device to watch a video, their parent is registered as a 30 or 40 year old. And so our entire audience demographic was 80% USA 40 year old viewers. And YouTube would essentially think that these are high trust advertisers.โ€ Daniel: โ€œWe essentially tricked YouTube because getting kids to watch videos is super easy. It's not that hard. And our RPM was like 35 cents per video. And in the first week of that channel, we made $4,000. We paid an editor, I promise you, $5 per video. So, for a week, we uploaded seven videos. It costed us 35 bucks and we made $3,000 in our first week and got 150,000 subscribers.โ€ Daniel: โ€œI basically got 220,000 subscribers for the video, bought my car, and in the process made like $6,000 on that channel.โ€
