#JACKSON's ment at #GOT7_NESTFESTinBKK_Day1 👑 since i can’t speak much thai, i'll speak in korean. first of all, what i want to say is, this has been a dream for all 7 of us. and i want to say thank you for waiting for us. because realistically, as time passes, you never really know what will happen. but the fact that we’re still here, that means everything to us. of course, we’re now in different companies, but what i want to say is, everyone here is struggling in some way. honestly, there’s not a single person who isn’t. if the seven of us can bring you even just a moment of happiness, that’s something we always talk about when we’re together. of course, business is business, that’s reality. but what makes us a bit different is… we don’t really care about that. the 7 of us grew up together, since i was 17. that's what "brothers" means to us. we don’t know how long we’ll be able to have moments like this. but in life, for the rest of our lives, we’ll keep giving it everything we’ve got. there’s one thing that hasn’t changed and never will. no matter what, even when we’re in our 40s, 50s, 60s… even if we can’t dance anymore, even if dancing breaks our bones, we’ll still do it. even sitting might break our bones at that point. but happiness… everyone has a different standard for it. and that’s our standard of happiness. thank you.

James: It’s unfortunate that the president is weaponizing the federal government, particularly the DOJ. It’s also unfortunate that Pam Bondi seems to believe that the DOJ is the personal attorney for the President of the United States, rather than serving the interests of America, the rule of law, and our democracy. That’s what’s truly unfortunate. It’s also unfortunate that we no longer have an independent DOJ, and that now it’s up to Democratic attorneys general, who are standing up to ensure that our liberties, our freedoms, and our democracy are protected, and that our systems and institutions are respected. That’s what we do, and that’s why we’re here.

Mamdani on Arch/Ballroom/Club Rose Garden: My message would be that this is not what government has to be. This is not the only vision for what it looks like to have politics in this country—that is so divorced from the needs and wants of everyday people. And what we are looking to show in New York City is an alternative to what has led so many to become disenchanted with the political process. We want to show that not only can government work, but it must, and that at its core, our responsibility is to working people—to ensure that we’re doing everything to make their lives easier. That has to be what drives our actions, and for too long, government has felt more like a distraction than a fulfillment of the needs of the people who’ve been left behind by the politics of today.

White People built the greatest country to ever exist on planet Earth and turned it into a world superpower in a matter of about 150-200 years.” “But now we’re told that we’re too lazy to build our own homes and pick our own vegetables and we need illegal immigrants from South America to do that for us.” I never buy that argument coming from the left. Americans have no problem doing those jobs. The problem is that they just don’t want to pay Americans a livable wage to do it. They would rather pay foreigners next to nothing and keep more profits.

If you think about some of the most spirited debates we’re having in our party right now—and they are important, and I don’t mean to smooth over those debates—we’re arguing about how to help ordinary folks. I’d rather be having that argument and be in this party than the party that is focused on giving billionaires tax cuts. What I want to see billionaires do is spend a whole lot less on elections and a whole lot more in taxes.
