I adopted an old cat seven months ago, but my life is still the same as before. It's hard for me to believe that she likes me, but very slowly she's coming around.

So sweet.

The first part seems suspect to me. I have five cats and I am often home for an hour before any of them notices. Heck I am not sure they would even know I was gone if they had food and a clean litter box.
