But actually though...😅😂🫠

The 0.01 BTC in the multisig wallet

I just really want one of these now...

You need one per seed backup geographically distributed.

If cold card made that safe the sides would have been made out of cardboard.

When the time is ready papo…we’re here for yall to Cofund 🫡

It really is like this. 😂

Nowhere near complex enough. Get serious about this shit Wicked.

My wife would understand this setup before she could understand a multi Sig setup.

I wonder what aŕe your thoughts of bitkey?

Good for normies with smaller amounts of bitcoin but has a lot of tradeoffs.

what are the tradeoffs exepct block dying? What would you consider a small amount :)

Not just block dying but also governments cracking down on them as a provider. You're trading short term convenience for the risk of some far off huge headache in the worst case scenario. That's a fair tradeoff for most people.

Lets assume governments do crack down on them, they still can't move the funds they have only one key out of three, it will be known, and nothing will stop you from moving your stack to another solution.

The nightmare scenario would be a crackdown and a loss of one of your keys. Also, in their docs they basically say they would work with governments to rug you if pressured for legal reasons. So, for example the feds get your phone and want your bitcoin, then they go to them to get that second signature without needing your rock.

I'm just too adversarial thinking to box myself into a product like that but not everyone thinks that way so there's a huge market of normies it's suitable for...and they're probably be fine as long as those scenarios never play out.

Yeah if you lost one of your keys and block is compromised (either bankrupt or taken over) then it's an issue as there is no backup seed. That's the main concern I have with the device. As for the fed rugging you, I don't think that's possible, your key in app is protected by biometric protection, so you must co-operate (or forced to) for them to access it. I doubt it will come to physical threat from the feds. I'm more worried if a government can sieze funds without physical access and my consent, which to my understanding, isn't possible. On the other hand this device is probably a lot safer from wrench attacks and people just finding your seed you stashed somewhere as most people use a single sig setup or worse. Anyhow, only reason I'm wondering is cause that Joel guy sent me free bitcoin to buy a Bitkey..

This looks a lot like thinking you'll remember a randomly generated password......

😂😂🤣

🤣 Real.

she definitely stopped listening immediately

Bitcoin safe 🤣
