Then there's the people in graphic design and creative arts that need a laptop for work with the capability of gaming processors for rendering on the go. We are the oppressed 😭

While this is generally good advice, some people (like me) don't actually have any room in their living space to fit a desktop computer reasonably. In that case, a gaming laptop might be the best option. I don't think setting up a desktop at the dining table is reasonable lol

The pandemic chip shortage was one of the rare instances where gaming laptops were the economical choice vs a basic laptop + gaming desktop/9th gen console combo. I got my gaming laptop during 2021 and it was worth it. Maybe not now when prices are reasonable again.
