One of the top pieces of feedback we get about OpenAI Codex: “make it faster”. We addressed it in a big way with our ultra fast Codex-Spark model (research preview for Pro). Available in the latest Codex app, CLI, and IDE extension. Here’s Spark vs 5.3-Codex-Low side-by-side (Credit Romain Huet for the initial idea).

You can now orchestrate Fable 5, Sol, and any model inside Codex with one plugin. It's called Codex-Orchestration. Assign Fable 5 as the advisor, Sol as the executor, or any model to any role. Then define the order they work in. Codex handles the routing. I ran Fable 5 High as planner with GPT-5.6 Sol Extra High as executor on a set of issues Opus and GPT-5.5 always struggled with. Done in 30 minutes. 40% fewer limit hits. 2x faster implementation. Install it by pasting this into Codex: "Install Codex Orchestration: codex plugin marketplace add Cjbuilds/Codex-Orchestration codex plugin add codex-orchestration@codex-orchestration Verify the installation, then tell me to start a new task." Then assign your models: @ codex-orchestration advisor: Claude Fable 5 High, Executor: GPT-5.6 Sol High Open source. Tweak the routing however you want.

fal is an official launch partner for OpenAI's new role-specific plugins in Codex, live today. With fal in Codex, creative teams can pull models, assets, and workflows from fal directly into Codex sessions. Faster from a question or brief to useful output, without leaving the agent.

coding is solved. my codex desktop app just did a dance for me to celebrate that.

2 quality-of-life improvements for developers working with Codex today: Codex background agents now have stable pixel identicons. When the same agent shows up across tabs, mentions, transcripts, and the thread panel, it’s easier to recognize at a glance.

Inspired by @levelsio's flight sim that he built almost a year ago, I wanted to see what was possible today So this weekend I built one over actual San Francisco with Claude & Codex Dogfight through the real Golden Gate Bridge with strangers:

Working on a “Hand-Off to Mac” way to load the chats from the Codex Remote Control for iOS app to the Codex App Codex app-server doesn’t quite support a live update So I decided to find a workaround A button that forces the closing of the Codex App and reopening it in the chat created from iPhone Would you use this button?

I just got Codex to reverse engineer the Control+M speech-to-text mode in the Codex app and build a Mac app that lets you run it anywhere. The demo is me making this tweet right now.

GPT 5.3 vs Opus 4.6: a second win for Opus! ✔︎ Opus builds the file 2x faster ✔︎ Opus nails a good first version ❌ Codex needs 3x "fix bugs" to have a first working version ❌ Codex UI looks really bad Let's try more things....

New design in the Codex app which kind of sucks: Now ALL the tool calls are collapsed inside a single item, which makes it hard to see wtf is going on. Can this be configurable so we can have it uncollapsed like it was before? OpenAI Developers Tibo

Me, two weeks ago. My only mistake was I meant CBS not NBC Entertainment.

Someone told me I should have a click highlighter for my live demos. So I vibe coded one in 10 minutes with OpenAI Developers Codex. Meet ClickLight! Wild that we can just build this stuff now. Grab it below ↓

Learned a bunch on how Codex Micro works and getting better performance now! One cool hack: I swapped push-to-talk to use Wispr Flow instead which is faster and works in any app. Was able to replicate all Codex shortcuts on Layer 2 in order to open this possibility. Can create a video to show how if folks are interested. cc/ Thomas Ricouard work louder®

CODEX SKILL THAT FINDS WASTED STORAGE ON YOUR MAC! I made a Codex skill that audits your Mac and reports where disk space can be cleaned up safely. Scan your Mac while Codex checks caches, logs, old installers, build artifacts, node_modules, Xcode data, Docker leftovers, and other files that may be wasting storage. -> macOS storage audit -> cache, logs, downloads, build artifact detection -> low/medium/protected risk levels -> exact paths + space estimates -> read-only report by default -> asks before deleting anything -> one-command install Install: npx --yes codex-mac-storage-cleanup 100% open source. Repo in Bio.

DISGUSTING THING FOR A BROADCASTER TO SAY ON LIVE TV. Broadcaster talking about transfer RB Ray Davis, who was in foster care as a kid “9 months ago, when he jumped in the portal, everybody wanted him” “11 years ago, as a foster kid, nobody wanted him”
