Coding agents changed how people build software. Voyager wants to bring that shift to creative work. Think “Codex for creative work”: a desktop AI app that works with your files and creative tools to help make videos, music, games and graphics.

I just got Codex to reverse engineer the Control+M speech-to-text mode in the Codex app and build a Mac app that lets you run it anywhere. The demo is me making this tweet right now.

we got used to AI coding agents that can actually work inside a codebase. now imagine that idea applied to creative work. that's the idea behind Voyager that stood out to me. a desktop AI app that can work with your files and orchestrate tools like After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Blender and Unity. one idea. one place. the finished thing. it's easy to see why they're calling it Codex for creative work.

Apparently, you don’t need coding experience to build apps anymore. So I made a little workout/yoga app just for me

Working on a “Hand-Off to Mac” way to load the chats from the Codex Remote Control for iOS app to the Codex App Codex app-server doesn’t quite support a live update So I decided to find a workaround A button that forces the closing of the Codex App and reopening it in the chat created from iPhone Would you use this button?

You can now summon Codex from anywhere on your desktop. It's easier than ever to reach for Codex.

Just published a guide on building Flutter desktop apps for DHH’s incredible Arch-based distro Omarchy. From a 4:30am idea (after my daughter woke me up 😅) to a working Omarchy-native Flutter app. 👉 #Flutter #Linux #Omarchy

I’m joining OpenAI Codex to work on the future of agentic development! At Cursor, I got to see the shift from autocomplete to agents. The next step isn’t a better IDE. It’s an Agent Development Environment (ADE): systems and tools for orchestrating agents, reasoning over their outputs, and making them autonomous enough to reliably complete ambitious work. After chatting with Alexander Embiricos and Tibo, it was clear that Codex is the best place to realize this vision. The team has consistently shipped SOTA models for agentic coding (check out gpt-5.3-codex) and I’m pumped for the future that the new Codex App points to. What I’m most excited about is the broader mission: accelerating the knowledge work economy. All agents are coding agents, and we’re already seeing Codex used across every job function within organizations. I’m extremely grateful for my time at Cursor, working with the incredible team, and I’m proud of what we built together. I’m excited to take an even bigger swing with Codex. If you’re curious to get a glimpse of where we are headed, download the Codex App! If you want to work on this mission, please apply or reach out - we are hiring across all functions! You can just build things.

Codex CLI 1.116.0 supports connecting the TUI to an app server. You can even connect multiple TUIs and the desktop app at the same time. Set [features]:tui_app_server = true to enable.

🚨 OH THIS IS A BIG ONE. Hermes can now give different subagents different brains. Coding? Route to a coding model. Research? Another provider. Grunt work? Something cheap. Official Advanced Delegation just merged into main, with Desktop controls. THIS is how you build a fleet. 🪽

Something just launched that makes VS Code feel ancient. And im all in for it: Cline Desktop app, an open-source app for open-weight models (and you know how much i love open source) brings its coding agent into a standalone Cline Desktop app for Mac + Windows. Just open a project and tell it what you want to change. No need to open VS Code first. In Cline's demo, it adds priority filters to a task board, works through the code and runs the build. Glad to see the model choice stays open, too. You can bring your own API keys, use supported open-weight models and even switch models halfway through a project!
