I’m not so sure Rickover would be juiced up on this deal. It sounds like the government is pushing a sub contractor onto EB & NNS. The problem with all subcontractors is that the prime contractor owns all the problems - quality and schedule in particular. EB and NNS executives may be smiling but I’d be surprised if they are happy about this.

Worked at a smaller shipyard in Norfolk, VA. Their profit margin was only 1% and they still made a lot of money. They had the biggest dry dock in the area so got lots of work.
