Meals on Wheels CEO responds to Stephen Millers assertions on funding freeze: Meals on Wheels, 37% of that funding comes through The Older Americans act.. and that is on the list as a grant funded program, which it is, because the support for Meals on Wheels goes from the federal government to the states down through eventually to Meals on Wheels providers who deliver provide those meals to seniors.

Last week in Baltimore, I witnessed Meals on Wheels quietly delivering heroism in action. Their team does more than bring meals—they fight isolation and send a powerful message: no one is forgotten.

As Gov. Abbott had a Thanksgiving photo op at Meals on Wheels, his Admin denied about 60k Texans meals by violating federal law on timely processing SNAP applications. Texas ranks 45th for child wellbeing; whistleblowers say claims of additional personnel helping are phony.

History will judge the humanity of our civilization by how we care for our elderly. Meals on Wheels does not just provide nutrition for the malnourished; it combats the epidemic of loneliness through daily acts of care and compassion. President Donald J. Trump has asked us at HHS to continue supporting Meals on Wheels so that no American in their twilight years feels forgotten.

No more school lunches. No more Meals on Wheels. That’s what Republicans are pushing with their $2 TRILLION in budget cuts. Over 11,000 Virgin Islands students rely on school meals. Our farmers, our children—all under attack. We’re not isolated. We’re impacted. And I’m fighting back.

The SNAP Food Stamps system in America is so broken This man makes $3,000 per month Yet, he is getting $300 per month on EBT for food stamps and gets free taxpayer funded hot meals from Meals on Wheels You are working to pay insane taxes so that people who make thousands per month can scam the EBT and get free food that you’re paying for This should really upset you because Meals on Wheels primarily gives meals to seniors who needs them and he’s literally taking meals from needy seniors. Think of the abuse taking place nationwide Also the fact that he’s getting $300 per month on EBT while making $3,000 per month means he’s likely hiding some of his income to qualify. This abuse is very widespread

They cut Meals on Wheels for seniors, doctors for the VA, and food for American children - but send billions of taxpayer dollars to the Middle East for an unnecessary war of choice.

Today I visited with the staff and incredible volunteers at a local senior center in Kent County. They provide roughly 190 seniors with meals every single day - thanks to Meals on Wheels. Any freeze on federal grants threatens to end this. I won’t stop fighting to ensure that critical services are delivered to Delawareans.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have thrown Meals on Wheels funding into chaos. The program doesn't just provide food for seniors, it also provides community, check-ins on the elderly living alone, and more. Now, it's all in jeopardy.
