🇺🇦 Mearsheimer: Drones Alone Cannot Deliver Ukraine Victory Prof. John Mearsheimer (John Mearsheimer) lays out one of the clearest assessments yet of why Ukraine’s air war cannot succeed — and why drones alone will never deliver victory. ⚠️ He explains the scale of the imbalance: Russia is striking Ukraine...

It is interesting how so many western analysts think that Russian attacks harden the will of Ukrainians to continue fighting, while Ukrainian attacks will make the Russian people beg for peace. And yes, there is a big asymmetry between levels. The Russians have only started with a little more "enthusiasm" a few weeks ago. Winter will be long and hard in Ukraine

@HelloSunset1692 @MearsheimerJ “Why does anybody think that hitting Russia with drones alone is going to cause the Russians to throw up their hands and surrender?” As always, Mearsheimer asks the wrong questions. The real question is “Why does the West attack Russia with drones if that wont give victory?”

Since his meeting with Donald Trump, we have seen a Zelenskyy boosted, certainly by promises, he has begun to send hundreds of drones for attacks more spectacular than harmful, unfortunately, the time has come for the Ukrainian people to pay the consequences of their leader’s bravado.

@MearsheimerJ This speaker mentions nothing that Ukraine shut down all Russian ports too. What a one sided misinformation. This guys always pro Russia, now his talks are less aggressive as Ukraine is destroying Russia slowly, lol

@MearsheimerJ why it keeps going? Proxy ukraine is keeping this going since Russia as the resource is that what otherwise Russia would be fully focused on the Middle East it’s not about win or lose it’s about distraction and diversion

@MearsheimerJ There is NO logic behind the Ukraine war… it’s a money laundering operation at scale. And the crooks at the top are running out of ammo. And support. They must be shaking in their boots… these people are ALWAYS expendable.

@MearsheimerJ The Turks are supplying Ukraine with the most modern American ammunition. They definitely got permission from the Russians, and even gave them their most important codes. It will either be Russian-made for NATO, or used against the US. The US has put a tooth on the hyena.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Prof. John Mearsheimer: ‘Ukraine’s long-range drone attacks into Russia have BACKFIRED, Russia retaliated by closing the Odessa Port and turned Ukraine into a land-locked country.’ ‘The Ukrainian drones have been Ukraine’s great saviour on the battlefield. I believe that this war would have ended a year or two if the Ukrainians didn’t have drones because the Ukrainians have a significant shortage of manpower, a significant shortage of artillery. And in a war that was heavily dependent on just manpower and artillery, I think the Ukrainians would have collapsed a while ago. But the drones have really helped keep them in the fight in an important way. So that’s one dimension to the drone issue. Then there’s the whole question of using drones in long-range attacks into Mother Russia. And this of course is what the Ukrainians have been doing big time in recent months. And I don’t think that those attacks have had any meaningful impact on the course of the war. And of course as you were alluding to, if anything it speeded up the end of the war because there is good reason to think that the Russian response to these long-range drone attacks by the Ukrainians is that the Russians have decided to retaliate by attacking Odessa and other Ukrainian sites on the Black Sea. And this has had a devastating effect on Ukraine because so much of Ukraine’s agricultural product as well as its industrial product moves out of Ukraine via the Black Sea ports. And of course the most prominent one is Odessa. But what’s happened here, and it’s very important to emphasise this, is that the Russians have basically closed the Odessa ports. And the end result is that today Ukraine is effectively a landlocked country. And given the percentage of exports, Ukrainian exports that go out of those ports through the Black Sea, this is going to have devastating effects on the Ukrainian economy. So if anything the long-range drone attack on the part of the Ukrainians against Mother Russia are backfiring.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below 👇
