To those asking, they can’t be potty trained. And they can’t control bowel movements. They also have a very frequent digestive system. So in short, it’s gonna shit and piss all over your house.

Trust me, you don’t want one. 1.Extremely Loud – True to their name, call ducks are noisy. The females especially can be ear-piercing, making them a poor choice for urban or suburban settings. 2.Messy as Hell – Like most ducks, they poop constantly and it’s watery, smelly, and spreads fast. They’ll foul up water sources within minutes. 3.Water Splashers – They love water and will soak everything around them, including their food, bedding, and any nearby electronics if you’re unlucky. 4.Escape Artists – Despite their small size, they’re surprisingly good at flying over fences if you don’t clip their wings or have secure enclosures. 5.Not House-Friendly – While some people try to keep them indoors, their messiness and constant noise make them impractical pets inside a home. 6.Demand Constant Care – They need clean water, safe shelter, proper feed, and lots of attention. They’re not low-maintenance animals. 7.Territorial and Nippy – Males can get aggressive, especially during breeding season. They’ll bite or chase other birds—or sometimes you. 8.Hard to Sex as Ducklings – It’s difficult to tell males from females when they’re young, which can mess up your flock planning. 9.Short Flight Spurts = Big Trouble – They can’t fly far, but they can get just enough lift to get lost or caught by predators if not properly contained. 10.Vulnerable to Predators – Their size and noise make them easy targets for hawks, foxes, dogs, raccoons—you name it.
