@Tesla_Optimus One underrated humanoid challenge isn’t movement capability. It’s making people actually feel comfortable approaching and interacting with the robot. That’s why Luna focuses heavily on natural motion. The engineering challenge is physical. The interaction challenge is psychological.

@elonmusk Mars habitats are probably going to need more than industrial utility. They’ll need interaction, presence, and companionship too. Would genuinely love to see how humanoids like Optimus and Luna evolve for future off-world living 🤖

@elonmusk Exactly. Beyond utility, we’ll need robots that can provide emotional support and genuine interaction. The evolution of humanoids for off-world living is going to be fascinating to watch.

More than technology — it’s a love letter to human aesthetics. In the design of 2nd-Gen IRON, XPENG refocuses on form itself. This time, the robot gains authentic, human-like texture. ✨ $XPEV

Japanese technology media outlet #Nikkei xTECH disassembled a Chinese #humanoid #robot #Unitree G1 to examine its engineering and design. From screws and battery to its leg mechanism, the analysis offers a closer look at what powers the robot. The reporter concluded that narrowing the gap with China in humanoid robotics "would be difficult to achieve overnight."

LimX Dynamics just released LimX Luna, officially described by the company as the first mass-deliverable full-size female humanoid robot. 🤖 This is not aimed at warehouses; it is built for malls, theme parks, auto shows, brand events, and other commercial spaces where attention is the product. Luna stands 160 cm tall, has 27 body DoF excluding end effectors, and combines whole-body motion control with voice, vision, facial expressions, gesture interaction, and motion imitation. The sharper part is the content stack: users can upload dance videos, build scenes with zero-code tools in LimX Studio, and run synchronized shows with up to 200 robots. That makes Luna less like a one-off demo machine and more like a programmable entertainment platform for foot traffic, performances, and social clips. For humanoids, this is a useful shift: not only “can it do labor,” but “can it create a consumer experience people actually stop to watch.”

Full-body joint tracking + smart gloves capture every nuance of human motion, which is retargeted in real-time to a humanoid robot (here, Tesla Optimus) for smooth teleoperation. This is the power of inertial motion capture. More than control, mocap is the gold standard for collecting high-fidelity humanoid training data. Advanced AI algorithms transform raw accelerometer streams into precise 3D joint poses, turning human movement into lifelike robot action.

LimX TRON 2 can easily walk while carrying a 30kg tire. Don't be surprised if, in the future, it is used for rescue operations or outdoor transport tasks… This is a modular robot platform capable of transforming into a biped, a quadruped, or a centaur humanoid robot.

Engineers at 1X have developed a 25-degree-of-freedom humanoid robot hand for advanced dexterous manipulation. It uses force sensors in every joint and fingertips to detect pressure, slipping, and automatically adjust its grip. Its lightweight, waterproof design allows the NEO humanoid robot to safely wash its hands after cooking or other messy tasks.

⚠️ ONE HUMANOID ROBOT IS IMPRESSIVE. WATCHING AN ENTIRE FLEET MOVE AS ONE IS A DIFFERENT LEVEL. Dozens of humanoid robots are performing the same sequence simultaneously, matching their timing across the entire formation. Every step, arm movement and change of position has to stay coordinated while each machine independently maintains its balance. One robot can hide a mistake - a whole formation can't. The choreography is almost beside the point. What you're really seeing is the ability to reproduce complex physical movements consistently across a large number of machines, without the formation falling apart. That kind of repeatability becomes far more important once robots move from controlled demonstrations into real industrial environments. And that's where the real breakthrough could be. The future of humanoid robotics won't be measured only by what one machine can do, but by how reliably an entire fleet can do it. One capable robot is a technological achievement; coordinating many of them turns that capability into a system. One robot proves the technology. A fleet shows what happens when it scales.
