Meet Omarchy XP

This is an important prototype. With NixOS Omarchy could have "Flavors" like Windows 11, macOS, etc... make it stupid simple for people using browsers who have muscle memory to join the @OmarchyLinux show

That's actually exactly how this started! As we've enjoyed incredible growth lately, I've seen plenty of folks pining for a more mouse-friendly version. It's debatable if that fits the mold or not and we'd officially ship something like that, but I was curious if it was even possible. Turns out, Hyprland has a decent solution for this.

The entire point of Omarchy for me was to benefit from Linux AND not have to use the mouse to fly around.

There have been some folks who struggle to adopt that so I figured we ought to work out a solution for them too. 🤣

I get jealous of all the cool stuff people are building on it. I have an old MacBook I was thinking of using to run it. Just have to ask my wife if it’s okay if I completely reformat it lol

Just so very cool! 😎 KDE Plasma should start baking these themes and easily switchable. Would've been nice, instead of needing to switch distro I mean. I like Arch. 🫣

Man! That takes me back. My first real personal computer was an xp machine my Grandpa gave me while I was saving up for my first build. I had two giant CRT monitors that were so big I barely had room on my desk for my keyboard.
