Meet the new Judge Program Manager for Magic: The Gathering, Samma Harr!

I’m not saying reinstate DCI, but there needs to be a way to keep track of incidences of cheating and foul play since there are some who continue to play high level magic with several infractions

Another key element that needs to be brought back is a clear player ranking system. ✅ Identifies top local & global talent ✅ Creates a massive incentive to hit Top 10 ✅ Generates news & community hype Rankings are critical for a healthy competitive scene. 🌍🔥

Welcome!! As a judge you probably already know you have a BIG job ahead of you. If you would allow me, I’d say that your first priority should be quality judging. Accessibility is important, but not above judging quality and clear clean standards.

wouldn't have hurt the cause if you had made the video a little professional

Not going to lie I just have very little confidence in WotC to come up with a Judge Program I can get excited about with the game decaying like it is. 7 years ago I was studying judge exams and now it just feels like that there's nowhere to apply that level of knowledge.

Horrifying

Are you going to do anything about Magic players being banned from play for non-Magic / Gameplay Reasons? It seems like more people get banned than cards, and theres still cheating or questionable play at the highest level.

"The new Judge Program is going to be something very special completely new." How about you just give us back the the infrastructure you intentionally dismantled 6 years ago, chasing the e-sports white whale, instead of reinventing every piece individually over half a decade 🫠

We hope she gets the tools and backing to achieve what she talked about, she said the right things, I really liked that. Best of luck for her.

omg is that McCoy?!

A solid judge organization is very important for the game. Magic: The Gathering has come a long way in its organized play thanks to so many structured tournaments, good organization, and respect for the rules and event integrity. Without judges, none of this is possible

Welcome Samma! Looking forward to the new judge program

would love new judge promos to exist. the most beautiful magic cards ever are judge promos

Godspeed to Samma and may this be the first big step in rebuilding judging 🫡🫡🫡

We love Mccoy is there!

As a magic judge of a few years, I can say that Samma is great!

Please never let me see judges rotating during the competitors shuffling their own decks ever again it was just embarrassing!

McCoy's awesome! Total legend.

Bring back the dci ranking system and player rewards.

Better get it right and not let it be abused
