Зустріч із нашими військовими, які навчаються на протимінному кораблі класу Alkmaar у Нідерландах. Разом із Прем’єр-міністром Робом Єттеном поспілкувалися з ними про те, як проходять тренування, та обговорили наші подальші плани. Нідерланди повністю підготують екіпаж та вже в червні передадуть корабель Україні. Він отримає назву «Генічеськ» – на честь нашого судна, яке було втрачене під час виконання бойового завдання в червні 2022 року біля Кінбурнської коси. Це вже п’ятий корабель у нашому майбутньому протимінному флоті та другий саме від Нідерландів. Дякую за таку допомогу. Дуже цінуємо, що нідерландський народ так сильно нам у цьому допомагає. Вручив начальнику оборони Нідерландів Онно Айхельсхайму та нашим захисникам нагороди. Дякую за зустріч!

I informed Rob Jetten Rob Jetten about the situation on the battlefield and about the Russian attacks that do not stop for a single day. I started my visit to the Netherlands with a meeting with Rob Jetten Dick Schoof in The Hague. The Netherlands is our reliable partner and one of the largest donors of military aid in Europe. We value this leadership in the defense of life. Today, we discussed how to scale up the results. First: joint drone production – in Ukraine and the Netherlands. Second: air defense procurement. Ukraine proposed to the Netherlands a format for a special agreement on security partnership – our Drone Deal. And this is not only about drones as such, but also about the comprehensive development of all air defense capabilities – protection against missiles and drones, the development of electronic warfare, and our joint weapons production. We tasked our teams with working out all the details, and we signed documents to begin this work – both on the Drone Deal and on the first joint production specifically with the Netherlands. Thank you for today’s exchange of assessments of the situation in international relations, especially in light of the war in Iran, which is currently affecting virtually everyone in the world. We in Europe need to engage more, coordinate more, in order to protect European interests in the face of such a global crisis. Thank you for all the support.

I met with Frans Timmermans, leader of the Green-Labour alliance in the Netherlands. We discussed Ukraine’s defense support, diplomacy, security guarantees, and our future in the European Union. We value the Netherlands’ readiness to continue supporting Ukraine. I also want to highlight their participation in the PURL initiative. The Netherlands was among the first to join and has already allocated 500 million dollars for American weapons for Ukraine; it is also funding the purchase of drones. Joint production projects are next in line. And this is extremely important for our defense against Russian aggression. The Netherlands has stood with us from the very start of the full-scale war – helping Ukraine, Ukrainian families, and our military. And I am grateful for this ongoing support.

We also talked about F-16s for Ukraine and all the necessary weapons for our defense against the Russian occupiers, including shells for our soldiers, essential equipment, and the protection of our energy infrastructure. I am grateful to the Netherlands for announcing a new assistance package for Ukraine. We also discussed the possibility of the Netherlands taking on a patronage role over Zaporizhzhia, which would involve supporting infrastructure, protecting normal life, and addressing humanitarian issues. This is something that will definitely help Ukraine, and we deeply appreciate all the support from the people of the Netherlands, from Prime Minister Schoof personally, and from all the political and public figures in the Netherlands. Today, I met with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten Rob Jetten, during his first visit to Ukraine. We are grateful to the Netherlands for its significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and for the Dutch Government’s coalition agreement on support for Ukraine in 2027–2029, which provides for €3 billion annually. Our cooperation also includes joint defense production and strengthening the component base for Ukraine’s defense industry with the participation of Dutch technology companies. The Netherlands has consistently supported Ukraine’s energy sector. Since the beginning of the year, Dutch contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund have reached €133 million. I briefed the Prime Minister on the Regional Energy Resilience Plans aimed at strategically rebuilding our energy system and preparing for future heating seasons. We are also interested in engaging the Netherlands’ expertise in water management and attracting equipment from Dutch companies. We also discussed strengthening Europe’s energy independence and stability amid Russian aggression and developments in the Middle East. The Netherlands reaffirmed its support for Ukraine’s EU integration path. We are preparing for the Second Ukraine–Netherlands Intergovernmental Conference, which will take place in Breda at the end of March, as well as a business forum to develop new B2B partnerships. I also spoke about Ukraine’s joint work with the World Bank on the ten-year “Economy of the Future” plan and invited the Netherlands to deepen cooperation in energy, defense production, and agriculture. We continue our international meetings in the framework of the Munich Security Conference. I had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof Rob Jetten. Our discussion focused on united diplomacy, the development of reliable security guarantees, the real situation on the battlefield, and defense needs. We also spoke about support for our citizens forced to leave Ukraine due to Russian aggression. I am grateful to the Netherlands for our joint efforts within the Ramstein format and for ensuring that aid to Ukraine does not decrease after three years of war. 🇺🇦 🇳🇱

A new important step in our defense cooperation with the Netherlands – today, our countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning Coproduction of drones. This is one of the promising areas of our bilateral cooperation. I thank the Government, the Prime Minister, and all the people of the Netherlands for their support of Ukraine – since the start of the full-scale war, it has already reached nearly $9 billion. I am also grateful for their contribution within the PURL initiative – around $600 million. Support for this initiative sends signals and sets examples for other partners. During today’s meeting with the Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius, Ruben Brekelmans, we discussed the development of joint drone production, the implementation of the initiative, and collaboration with the Netherlands in this area. I am grateful for the meeting and for all the efforts made to support our people.

Today in Odesa, on the day of our Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we express our gratitude to all our naval warriors and engage in negotiations to ensure that Ukraine’s Defense Forces, including our Navy, receive even greater capabilities. We also welcomed the new Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, as well as the new British Secretary of State for Defence. I informed them about the situation on the battlefield, and there was a briefing from Vice Admiral Neizhpapa, the Ukrainian Navy Commander. We will continue to strengthen the Ukrainian fleet together with the UK and the Netherlands. There are promising new developments in our cooperation. We also discussed strengthening our air defense systems, which remains an absolute priority, and I am grateful for the willingness to take the next steps, particularly regarding the F-16s.

I met with Ukrainian service members who are training at the European F-16 Training Center in Romania. We spoke with the cadets about specifics and conditions of their training program. We also discussed the challenges our pilots face and how the state can help address them. At the center, our guys undergo different stages of training, including theory and real sorties. The first Ukrainian pilots began their program there in 2024, and some of them already carry out combat missions to repel Russian aggression. I thank Romania, the instructors at the center, and everyone who is helping us defend ourselves and counter Russian terror. We will always be grateful to the United States for the opportunity to strengthen the protection of our sky with American fighter jets, as well as to Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, which have already transferred aircraft to Ukraine.

Thank you for all the support. We are preparing for the EU summit, which will take place tomorrow in Brussels. Everyone can see how quickly diplomatic events are unfolding. Today, the Ukrainian and American teams began working on an upcoming meeting. Andriy Yermak and Mike Waltz have spoken, and there’s positive movement. We hope to see some results next week. We also need to resume movement in the European direction, particularly regarding our Eurointegration – the clusters in the accession negotiation process. We are counting on the support of our partners.

We are now in a new phase of development for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have done a lot to transition the Ukrainian Air Force to a new aviation standard – Western combat aviation. From the beginning of this war, we have been talking with our partners about the need to close the Ukrainian sky from Russian missiles and aircraft. We have held hundreds of meetings and negotiations to strengthen the capabilities of our aviation, air defense, and Defense Forces. We often heard the word "impossible" in response, but we made possible what was our ambition, our defense need, and now – it is a reality in our sky. F-16s in Ukraine. We ensured this. I am proud of all our guys who are skillfully mastering these aircraft and have already started using them for our country. I thank our team for this result. I thank all the partners who are truly helping with the F-16s, and the first countries that accepted our request for aircraft – Denmark, the Netherlands, the United States, – and all our partners, – we value your support. I wish our Air Force and all our warriors to feel the pride of Ukrainians in our combat aviation and to bring Ukraine the combat results that will bring our victory closer – our just peace for Ukraine.
