They're extremely important for distinguishing which bits are modern restorations. The 2nd reason they're important is that they generally show that the sites were deeply buried, which one would never guess by looking at them in their present state.

I explored this site for 3 straight days and still look back with just complete awe and wonder !

Was there a few months ago…Many sites surpassed my expectations but Pisac was the biggest surprise!

Seems crazy...why on earth would they go through the extra trouble of building slopped walls full of "windows" that you can't see out of.

Our ET creators helped all ancient civilizations ... Traces and Evidence are found Everywhere ...

I've always wondered why they blocked the windows. Were they windows, or alcoves?

Something you probably dont build unless it was fairly easy and the knowledge well know. Both unlikely with our current version of history we are sold.
