The magic of an ad is to not make it look like an ad, especially if it’s such a personality based one like Meghan’s. But it looks so fake, especially if you’ve actually ever tried to pick blackberries. It’s a messy and prickly business that no one in their right mind would wear white to do. Did you fall for it? Over the past several days, many large social media accounts have been posting this video (below on the left) alleging that it is of President Zelensky belly dancing. This is more misleading content being spread by Russian media and others. It is actually a video that has been modified to look like Zelensky. The real video, below on the right, actually depicts a man named Pablo Acosta. He’s a dancer from Argentina.

Somebody commented, “I think Prince Harry wants to go back to Afghanistan where it’s safer.” 😭 That squealing and screeching were unbearable. When you really think about it, it’s honestly sad what Meghan Markle will do for curated content. Everything has to be exaggerated, staged & performative, no matter how ridiculous it looks.
