And it's the unfortunate truth. Men will bottle everything inside, under the pretense that no one really cares. But even if they do have someone who cares, and they know they do, it doesn't ease the overwhelming pressure that they're under. And so, they hold the line.

I wish I had a cool voice.

I will occasionally let it all out with my girlfriend and talk about my chronic pain, the hours I need to work, all the broken things I need to fix. She says sorry that I have to deal with all that and in her own way tries to cheer me up. I tell her I don't expect her to help

When a man no longer talks, it is because the idea of talking will not change anything. Silence becomes a shield. The energy does not feel worth expending. Or perhaps, that is just me.
