Very cool video! Based on this experiment, near the center of the earth, at temperatures and pressures that keep iron solid and liquid mercury, there should be volumes (spheres) of iron (not molten) covering volumes of mercury. Add changing gravity (orbits of other heavenly bodies) for mixing, current due to thus changing magnetic fields, and extra heat from the lowest molten lava at the core of this earth-tobleron, and you got yourself a planet with a north and South Pole. This global magnetic field protects us all from cosmic and solar radiation ( to some extent). Thank the heavens anvils float in mercury lakes on EarthLike planets!

This guy's whole youtube channel is super interesting. Lots of great educational chemistry stuff, among other subjects. He's like a mad scientist that does tons of cool shit (growing mushrooms, blowing stuff up, alchemy)
