Whoa! that is me :) and the literal code for @VSCodeChangelog

Do the steering and queued messages count as premium requests?

New VS Code features excite me!

Does that mean we'll get weekly releases now instead of monthly?

This has been awesome dev/insider channel.

THAT much context getting filled that quick is diabolical.

@opencode @thdxr need this :)

FYI @Merkousha @AmirNapster @KuomarsRahimi @mehrandvd Nice

now its the time to improve plan mode please

This is exactly the feature I was wishing it had lately. Nice work!

This is the stack I used to build — VS Code + Claude, no dev background. Agent hooks and skills as slash commands would've saved me weeks of back-and-forth. The gap between idea and shipped product keeps shrinking.

Great, that was missing

agent hooks and Claude compatibility in the same release is huge. VS Code is quietly becoming the best AI coding platform while everyone's distracted building standalone tools. the extensibility play wins again.

finallyyy, after a million years. its been on cursor for so long.

Message steering is the right call. I built something similar with my agent orchestrator, supervisor dispatches work and manages all the state so workers stay minimal and focused.

slash commands are a game changer... non-technical founders can finally orchestrate agent workflows without any code

Skills as slash commands is a game changer for team workflows. Being able to package repeatable patterns and share them across your org means less context switching and more shipping. Claude compatibility is the cherry on top. The coding agent ecosystem is converging fast.
