I really wish tweaking macOS was more streamlined, theres so much that can be done. The clock for example is 108pt font by default, here's 80pt with a custom date formatter

✨ Added more stuff to PieterOS at 💿 - a 3d earth globe you can move around (would be cool to add zoom here too) - live stocks, news and a ticker - PieterGPT but it's shared with everyone else who's on - entire filesystem is also shared so you can access eachother's files and data and apps - a BBS with posts Program Generator 9000 is improving, the idea is you can prompt any program and it lives generate it on-the-fly and then runs it, it kinda works but often controls don't work yet, trying to fix this now Anymore ideas let me know, very fun :D

I was bored one afternoon 5 years ago. Done my client work for the day and was messing around in After Effects. A few hours later this loop was born. I didn't think much of it at first but when I showed it to my wife she was mesmerized. Something changed in me after making this one. I decided to push myself further. To stop doing cute little things on dribbble/IG for likes and to make the stuff I dreamt of doing as a kid. Be an actual animator. Like a lot of artists I come from a world of emotional pain. My childhood was not the easiest to say the least. I lost my brother at a young age and dealt with a lot of shit over the years. I'm forever stuck in a loop of trying to find balance, but at least I'm finally happy with the art I'm making. Oh and I fucking love cats.

Big progress made today. Finally fixed cloud shaders and optimized it to not eat VRAM and run smoothly in the browser. There's 2 big shaders involved here - the cloud and the wind which can be programmed to affect all other weather effects. The idea is to have a complete weather system where you can mix and match anything. Done with Cursor with 70% of the work by gpt-codex-xhigh and around 30% by Opus 4.5. Opus rarely oneshots anything and is a total token waster but sometimes it gives a very nice solution. GPT is reliable and precise. And slow. Gets stuff done. Perfect to let it work while going out/eating/sleeping.

I can't believe my eyes! I compared Cavalry render speed to After effects and this happened: forget about that Cavalry rendered a complicated Motion graphic piece without a single lag and very minimal Layer usage that would take a ton of work in after effects, but when I RENDERED animation and gave it to After effects It had a problem playing the RENDERED MP4 VIDEO! and during that it used more ram to play a normal video than Cavalry to just play the raw project file with all the layers and effects. this is just crazy. we might be witnessing a new era of motion design.
