We are not our worst moments. Brian Branch is an excellent football player, good leader, & great teammate. You can tell by his brother’s reaction to the fall out of Sunday Night’s actions. The leaders of NFL Films are amazing ambassadors of the game whose sole mission is to push this game forward. What happened in Kansas City post game & the ensuing video that originated from NFL Films are both unfortunate incidents that don’t tell the whole story of the people involved. I pray no one judges either party solely on those two moments. They’re both better than that. #BrianBranch #NFLfilms

The older I get, the stronger I feel that Casino is a better film than Goodfellas. I think a big reason for that is Robert De Niro. De Niro is brilliant in both films but he’s underutilized in Goodfellas. In Casino, that’s not the case- Bob is given the keys to the car & he drives the shit out of it. I think Casino is the best De Niro-Scorsese collaboration behind Taxi Driver.

Battles Without Honor and Humanity (1973) Dir. Kinji Fukasaku Fukasaku on the difference between yakuza films and American gangster films. "The thing that really makes gangster film interesting, whether it's a yakuza picture or a gangster movie from the West, is if an audience of ordinary people like you and me - non-gangsters, can somehow relate to the characters in the film. When you find a common human thread. There are two French crime films that I think are especially good in that way. One is Clouzot's "Quai des Orfèvres" (1947) with Louis Jouvet; and another Jacques Becker's "Touchez Pas au Grisbi" (1953), with Jean Gabin. Today’s #HudsonWilliamsFF short films are “The Ticket” and “And…Action!” Hudson also produced “The Ticket”! 🎥 Links to watch: & IMO: I love how Hudson’s character’s annoyance builds through his expressions in “The Ticket,” before he finally has enough of the other character. I really enjoyed “And…Action!,” and the way it cuts between black and white and color. Both films are a testament to how great Hudson is in comedic roles and how well he communicates through his micro-expressions. Share your favourite scene and your insights about it in the replies!
