While filming The Flash (2023), Michael Keaton was so enthusiastic about returning as Batman that he even jumped onto a table during rehearsals. “We were discussing a scene, mapping out the fight choreography, and suddenly, he just jumps on the table. He's 71, but he has this incredible physical memory of the character.” Director Andy Muschietti recalled Keaton entering the Batcave and staying “like this [eyes wide] for a while.” Keaton also asked, “Can you take a picture? It’s for my grandson,” and even recorded a video of the set to send to his original Batman director, Tim Burton.
