Abdul El-Sayed didn’t apologize. He said his comments “might have been misconstrued.” Then he admitted he was trying to give “context” for a synagogue attack. Then he said it “wasn’t the time for context.” That’s not sorry. That’s a rewrite. Mike Rogers said the quiet part: Jewish Democrats in Michigan are calling his campaign because they can’t vote for this guy. Michigan’s Jewish AG skipped her own party’s convention because she didn’t feel safe. A University of Michigan student hides her Star of David to walk to class. El-Sayed wants five debates and a new subject. Rogers is talking to Haley Stevens voters, Detroit Democrats, and anyone who noticed the candidate also wants to ban gas engines and pick a fight with Ford country. You don’t get to lecture a state about “context” for terror and then demand the microphone back. Michigan doesn’t need a translator for a synagogue attack.
